Because whatever he does it will be for the benefit of the club? I don’t see TB ruling Potter out on the basis of a few fans on here disliking Potter’s return.
It would show some kindness to people shitting their pants/having raised blood pressure/being furious etc though

Do the right thing TB, just for NSC - put this binfest to bed!

Get your money on it now! Our new manager is going to be Russell Martin! Remember where you heard it! I have an inside sauce and it's not Ernest! :)

Someone I know who gets occasional bits of gossip reckons we are still after someone who is currently employed. Suggestion is we're waiting out a contract expiry. No idea who this would include or exclude, or even if it's true but that's my "scoop".

The Potter rumour carries much much more baggage for Brighton fans so if he’s not in the running what’s the harm in killing it? TB is an Albion fan he must know how anti many fans are, why let it run?
Well, one basic reason could be that they know each other. Popping out from silence to say "f*** GRAHAM POTTER!" would probably be appreciated by many, but hopefully he isn't that keen on pleasing some weirdos. Also there's a massive benefit to when people know you never talk: they don't call.
i mean this in the nicest possible way but you’re genuinely starting to sound like you’re part of a cult
My ITK friend says the Potter Cult is currently not accepting any new members. It is what it is.

He's one of my few "please don't" after seeing a lot of his Swansea side, but maybe he's improved - not seen all that much Southampton this season.

From a data perspective, he fits us.

What was so bad about Swansea under his management? I must admit this would be an appointment that wouldn't excite me - but then RDZ is a hard act to follow.

I didn't realise Russell Martin was born in Brighton, btw.

If it is Martin I think I’ll change my post on the threat of relegation thread. Underwhelmed wouldn’t begin to cover it

Hopefully he’s been at the Albion trying to come to agreement about whatever programme he has going in competition to whatever Albion in the Community programme is called these days, not to be appointed as the man who relegates us

It all just looked a bit half-cooked - there was a plan, just not very clear, there were ideas how to build up play, just not very consistent.. Tbf working with Swansea is difficult as they're built around two reluctant owners living in different time zones and feeding them just enough cash to stay up.

Someone on here had a theory a week or two ago about Russell Martin. Lallana seen with Potter. Martin to Brighton, Potter and Lallana to Southampton. I found £15 of change down the back of the sofa and lumped on at 7/1.
Not sure it’s who I want really and would prefer Italian Vinny from Florence, but Martin’s team do play a possession game and he’s a Brightonian.
The delay, in respect of Southampton’s promotion.

Right since this has become a mental Potter binfest, I think 4 managers we should be looking at:

Wilfred Nancy
Eric Roy
Marcelo Gallardo

Left Field Suggestion from the championship:

Marti Cifuentes
FWIW, Nancy signed an extension to his contract back in April.

Doesn‘t he hate us though? Makes that kind of irrelevant

He has been talking a lot to the press about Southampton and next season which makes me think he would have to backtrack massively if he did move. ( fingers crossed I don’t win my bet)
It won’t be Russell Martin

Certainly a good theory, one of the better ones. But Potter meeting with Lallana in Hove two months (?) ago to discuss this thing assumes that Lallana knew A LOT of stuff that I'm not sure even we knew. So its a bit unplausable in that sense. But sure, could see it happening anyway.
