Sorry Dave, I didnt see it at first

The first 2 yes, as they are physical, and not a off the cuff remarks or "insult" thrown in a general direction

If someone called FDM a n1gger, maybe, I would have a word with the guy first. Maybe report it, but doubt it. Would lead to the guy loosing his job

Last one no, as it has been done on here many a time already, so why start now

because as I see it, its all about degrees.

what may be ok for some people is not for others. Whoever found the comments unacceptable took the decision to contact the BBC presumably because they judged the comments to be unacceptable. That is their choice. I do not believe for one minute some mischief maker would bother to contact the BBC to compain....

Therefore to a degree as we do not know who the people are or why they took it so badly, personally I dont see the fun in chastising them. that is all

My original point was, would you complain if you knew it would lead to someone getting sacked. I think it would make people think twice about complaining if they knew someone would lose a source of income.

I agree with all of what you are saying, I think it wasnt that bad at all, but I know people that think it is. Thats just the way it is.

Oh and its obvious people know who the people that complained are, otherwise this thread would not be created

Maybe that person should think about that before doing whatever it is which could lose him/her their employment.

I would never have a problem reporting someone if they honestly did something which offended me and was out of order - and before people ask, no Harty and Hawsey did not offend me enough to complain.

Also I don't see how reporting someone to a steward for racist abuse of FDM would mean they lost their job Brett? Even if it did - who cares? They shouldn't racially abuse someone.

I meant to type wouldnt lead to the guy loosing his job, but I made a mistake (but not on Harty's scale)

I am not condoning what Harty said by any means, it was a mistake, which he apologised for on air 3 times, and in the press today, so why sack him for such a little slip up?

Ah fair enough Brettles. I thought it read funny.

I don't think Harty should have been sacked. I guess some people felt strongly enough to complain though which is up to them.

Especially as what he was actually trying to say was

"the idiots on North Stand Chat are crazy for wanting Micky Adams out"

instead of what a load of people seem to think he said:

"the people on North Stand Chat remind me of a bunch of retarded disabled people who I have absolutely no respect for"

stop trying to TWIST things to defend a mate Hiney, it is just uncalled for. Ian Hart specifically said NSC is full of spastics and retards. Quote, unquote.

NO , Harty didn't , he said they should go and lick a window. Hawesy exacerbated it with saying that the windowlickers should call the phone-in line. Harty didn't say that NSC is FULL of spastics and retards only a certain clique within it.
