We didnt play badly, apart from the defensive error, we just couldnt finish the chances we had. We had more shots in total.

Whatever anyone says, the facts are Withdean cannot be improved and we'll be out of there in 18months. So just accept this and save your money for either falmer or away games unless you can afford/endure dire value for money entertainment. Thank goodness many can, for they keep our club alive - I did it for 10 years but just cannot anymore. Personally I'll be happy if we're still in the football league when we k-o at falmer. That will be some achievement for a club homeless since 1997.

Stop playing Dean Cox.

Why would leaving out the player who has shown more creativity in his 40 minutes of playing time in the last three games, than the rest of the squad combined, improve our home form?

The only thing we need to change is the players and Gus will be doing this until we get a TEAM. If we had something to get excited about there would be an atmosphere. Two years of dross is enough to get anyone down.

Unexciting poor performances at home with very average players coupled with a stadium with a running track and no roof to keep any noise in = poor atmosphere.

Can we please stop having this debate.

Wihdean is never going to be a caldron of noise and when we are playing like a load of donkeys it's going to be flat.

Spot on, there is nothing good about this man whatseover, bring nothing to the team at all.

Along with this, the ticket pries should be reduced to bring in higher crowds, not that i think the club are likely to do it however

Thought he played very well today, Stopped a goal chance for them( the only Brighton player too run back fast enough) and get to the ball before there Nippy striker and got some great crossing in today.

We may not be able to do much about the ground & atmosphere, however, here are three ideas:

1/ Reduce ticket prices to £10 per adult & £5 for kids
2/ Change the mentality. Start using the Away changing rooms & Away dug out (& for the away team to use the home facilities) - After all we seem to do better away!
3/ On 'home' days - tell the players that they will be collected at 8.00 am at Withdean. The team bus goes for a two hour journey around Sussex, before turning up at Withdean

What do you think?

Having set foot in the away (and home dressing rooms), you'd probably want an interior design company in to improve the former. It's deliberately "distressed" and painted a nice shade of purple.

Record the away supporters and play it over the loudspeakers at home games.

If we play like we did today every game we will win most of our matches.

sorry? are you stupid?

we didn't SCORE a goal yesterday, therefore, if we play like that every game we will not win another game this season.

the winner of a game of football is the team that scores the most goals, not the team that plays quite well.

Need to get more people into the ground. That will create a better atmosphere don't you think? Another poor gate today against local rivals. How on earth will we attract three times the number at Falmer unless we catch the imagination of younger fans, bring back those who cannot afford to watch the Albion every other week. Furthermore, what is the point in having empty seats!

We won't attract three times the number at Falmer.
If we double the hard-core ( 4500-5000 )....to 10,000 approx...then we will be doing well. Add on away fans and average gates should be around 11,500-12,000.
If the team are doing well ( and depending on what division we are in ) or its " attractive " opposition, then you could probably add another 2000-3000 to the gate.

Can we give the players all a Man of the Match award* before the match? They'll all feel like winners. Then Gus and Mr Motivator Charlie Oatway will tell them it's up to them to maintain it over the next 90 minutes.

(Such an approach was used by Michelle Pfeiffer as a teacher in that awful Dangerous Minds movie, when she gave ghetto kids all A grades at the start of the year. I'm sure it will work with our players!)
