The ex Tottenham, Leicester and Bolton goalkeeper played 400 games was released from his contract by Bolton in Dec 2008. Does anybody know if he has:

retired from the game compeletly

is playing non league

Was he at Tottenham with Poyet and Tarrico

Could he do a job to help us out of a spot.

Apparently Jimmy Walker of Spurs was going to sign on loan but got held up in traffic, what a ridiculous situation why couldnt we have met him in London thus both cutting down in travel and time.

Abort, retry, fail
Ian Walker has been out of the game for nearly a year, surely? I can't remember hearing that he has officially retired. Probably too busy with his dancing lady friend.

Jimmy Walker, I would definitely sign. He would have been a fixture in the Prem if he was a bit taller. Seen him play quite a few times and he is class. However, I haven't seen anything of him since the bine break, so whether that and lack of first team opportunities have ruined him is another matter.

slightly dubious, they can sign by fax. (or is that only the signed documnets through to FA?)

The player has to signn the papers and they are then faxed to the Tooball League

The person who said it is the person that if the club did a poll to put a supporter on the board this person would probably win the vote.

Im not sure thats true. Walker only signed a month ago and if he goes we will only have Gomes And Alnwick.

He was signed as 3rd choice behind Cudicini and Gomes but they have recalled Alnwick due to Cudiccini's accident so I would assume that he is in front of Jimmy Walker. I thought he signed from West Ham about 2 or 3 months ago but wouldnt argue.

Walker seeks Asian dream

FORMER Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Ian Walker is not ready to give up his gloves just yet, believing he still has one more season to give.

Walker, 38, is not attached to any club at the moment and is open to offers from England, Europe, the American Major League Soccer (MLS) and Asia.

Even as he pursues his UEFA B-coaching licence, Walker said he would like to play one more season before calling it quits and is open to the possibility of playing in Asia.

"I left Bolton (Wanderers) in December (last year) but I'm hoping I might be able to join a club in January. The MLS looks like a good bet, Asia even, but not the (English) Premier League.

"I'd like to do something different, experience a new culture and country which is why I may fancy playing in Thailand, Vietnam and China," said Walker in a recent interview ahead of making an appearance at the EPL Masters Football Malaysia Cup at the Putra Stadium in Bukit Jalil today.

Walkers hopes to use the six-a-side tournament, where he will turn out for the EPL All Stars, to get back into the thick of things after admitting he has not made a save for some time.

"I've not done too much goalkeeping training but I have been putting time in at the gym while also studying for my coaching badges.

"The MLS did not work out for me earlier this year and I've spoken with Peter Reid (the former Thailand national coach) and I'd like to give playing in Asia a try.

"I could go on for a year or two and then turn to coaching where I'd like to work with the youngsters," added Walker, who made 260 appearance for Tottenham and another 140 for Leicester City besides earning four caps with England.

Besides Walker, other former stars who will be on show for the All Stars, Liverpool, Manchester United and Sheffield United Masters teams are Andy Cole, Viv Anderson, Ronnie Johnsen, Jason McAteer, Mark Wright, Mark Walters, Ray Parlour, Ugo Ehiogu, Brian Deane and Sasa Ilic.

Tickets are priced from RM18 to RM308 with stadium doors opening at 4pm and the final scheduled for 8pm.
