I would love Harty on the phone-in again.

Regarding the complaints, the people that did complain were well within their rights to do so. I seem to remember that most posters on here thought that the comments were ill-considered at best. I don't understand why a few posters feel the need to pick on one poster who has already publiclly said that they did not complain.

Anyway, moving on, I think that the phone in needs Harty back to survive. He has clearly been punished and the one time that I spoke to him (granted it was a couple of years ago), he seemed like a thoroughly decent chap.

I really wish a line could be drawn under this whole incident, both at SCR and on NSC.

Is the right answer......BBC and complainants please note !!!!!!

There were quite a few posters on here calling for Hartys HEAD over this.
Which was a shame. Complete overreaction from all concerned, and now we've been left with an absolutely dire post-match programme. The phone-in was never perfect, but it used to be a damn sight better than what we've got now.

As a third division club, we're fortunate to get every match live PLUS an hours phone in devoted (in the main) to the Albion. I've got a Brentford supporting mate who would LOVE that kind of coverage for his club - no chance with the London based stations, they barely get a mention. I think we take a lot for granted with the coverage we get from SCR.

It's funny how times have changed - it wasn't so long ago that some people thought Harty shouldn't be doing the phone in - now lots of people want him back. You often only appreciate something when it's taken away, and I for one would like to see him back - at least he's a real fan and his albion knowledge embarresses me, and I've been going for over 30 years.
Until he's reinstated I won't bother with SCR again - last week's show was just utter shite.

Didn't hear the phone-in with Mike Ward, but judging from his column he has to be the singular least funny man I have ever read. I cannot believe he still gets a column in a programme - every week he tries to be funny and it's actually embarrassing just how poor his writing and humour are. It's like the club feels indebted to him just because he's a journalist who decided to suddenly start supporting the Albion - I could find a lot more knowladgeable and funnier people without looking very long!

Lost total respect for Mike Ward, when he first talked on SCR he said he did not understand our hatred of Palace, and the fact they were 50 miles away we should bury the hatchet. This left a sour taste in my mouth, how can someone who has only just started following the Albion, start to preach to fans who have been going to the games against Palace over the years, and quite literally putting their lifes on the line for the Albion in our battles with the scum. Sorry Mike Ward you are out of touch.

I've not read it all but what are BBC SCR actually doing with Harty?

Andrew hawes had his disiplinary and all sorted some weeks ago so has harty actually had one and what was the outcome? As a public body, surely we should know. And if he's not had one then why not, as it was all on the same broadcast?

Harty takes a subtle dig at SCR on Seagulls World in his Hart of the Matter thing (featuring many NSCers)

The decision has been made, but it seems weird SCR have not announced anything, especially as its been 6 weeks or so since the "crime"

The Argus should do a story on it...

Who is the 'she' who went out of their way to cause this ridiculous sacking? Thanks for ruining my after match routine anyway; I get in the car and can listen to it all the way until Leatherhead. Now I turn off. In fact, it's another reason not to come to the Withdean - I used to enjoy listening to it on the way down and home. It made the journey bearable.

Bastard busy body whoever they are. Should be bloody ashamed of themselves. Thanks for putting your ego above thousands of others enjoyment.
