If there wasn't a reason, then it wouldn't be done would it, or are you an expert on sportsturf?

I'm an expert in hurting myself on many different surfaces, if that counts? I can diagnose what type of ground caused an injury. For example, I can tell the difference between sand covered astroturf and a 3G surface. That's just experience, though.

On wednesday night, the sprinklers were out in force again, despite the massive rain fall earlier in the day. I understand Gus wants the pitch slick so the passing football works but seriously, it's being overwatered and it has caused injuries already. The moulded studs a lot of the players wear doesn't help either, and I'm not saying it is the fault of just the pitch being overwatered. But it's not helped.

we have secret weapon today a boy who is 5 and never seen us lose. He has been to a few games home and away now. Southampton, Newcastle, Leicester to name a few. He thinks every time Buckley shoots its a goal. So we hope he is playing today.

thats two secret 5 year old weapons today then. My son has been to most of the daytime home matches and has only ever seen us lose to Burnley.

OMG! Not only this. I got to ask the great man two questions in the post match press conference!!

I asked him about living in Brighton & Hove and it's comparisons with Valencia.

A nice lady steward translated.

Sadly I was so star struck I failed to notice my Iphone battery had given up.

Got Gus though . He was very very buoyant.

Don't worry it's the last two questions on Seagulls World. Do listen in it's free.
