If he goes at the end of this season we’ll have had two years from him. The only time he’s managed a club longer is when he was at Sassuolo for three seasons.
I think he needs the thrill of chasing for cups, titles etc and where we are at, this isn’t going to do it for him.
I’d prefer a fully fired up, ambitious and successful manager than a downbeat and miserable Roberto.
I think the only chance we have of keeping him is if Pep decides to go at the end of next season and Roberto is targeted as his successor. In that scenario I think he would potentially stay with the view to taking over then.
We’d be a very attractive club for an upwardly mobile manager. Francesco Farioli as an example.
Or …. TB sanctions a transfer window that markedly improves RDZ’s options next season.
