Friendly, professional, articulate, good body language, steady but not boring. Dont know when it happened, bang average striker. BUT I LOVE HIM
My son is obsessed with him, has his name on his away shirt.

All round top bloke and character.......

maybe some will moan about his performances or goals etc but you can't not love Welbz the man with his enthusiasm and banter.

Bet he's a great laugh for team mates.

Thing is the club wouldn’t do those Buzz’s quiz things if the team spirit wasn’t genuinely as good as it is: they all obviously enjoy doing them and we get to see how they all get on well behind the scenes. Welbeck’s obviously a terrific player but also clearly a tremendous guy in a team with a lot of them. He’s fantastic.

I think he’s slightly underrated by many. I don’t really see him as a fully out and out striker.

I appreciate the positions he takes up and he could score more, but I think he’s the sort of player where the teams scores more goals when he’s on the pitch.

I could be wrong but I’d be interested to see the stats.

He looks at his best when playing as a duo IMHO, him and Pedro (in the games we’ve been able to play them together) has looked a fabulous combo

Out-and-out striker never scoring more than 10 goals in a season and always been playing a fair bit in his clubs but always also been on the bench when better options are around. Bang average is fair imho but not a bad thing, we spent YEARS looking for a bang average PL striker before we signed him
Agree with all of that except the last part. If Welbeck is "bang average", then Murray (12 & 13 goals in two season) and Maupay (10, 8 & 8 goals in three seasons) were also bang average to decent. I'd say that we didn't wait years for Welbeck, we had two immediately preceding him.

Agree meant in addition to the one single bang striker we had every season until finally getting a less desperate situation.

In my mind he is now a "brighton" player in terms of the league - an not a "journey man"

get the extra cup games in (28 required) and he'll and be more blue & white than red

Him loitering around behind the defender when the perfect ball is played across the 6 yard line is why I can only go so far as like - sorry folks.
