I love his interviews and honesty. I love what he has achieved for my club and in a few years time, if he is managing a top four Prem Club? we can all look back and say "he managed Brighton". We need to savour every moment that we have 'Gus Poyet'! This man is pure 'gold'

He maybe our Gus and have a different edge to him, but i hate him Blaming the pitch and the refs he is just joining in with the sheep.

Has he achieved anything yet or has TB achieved it? He still got a lot to learn, let's not big him up until the pressure is really on.

I often look back and think of Micky Adams, Mark McGee, Steve Coppell who really was the men to take us forward without any money. Gus has landed on his feet. Gus will go down hill when he leaves us.

Has Gus achieved anything? Did you miss the last few years where he has taken us from bottom few of League 1 to playoff chasing in the Championship? All the while rebuilding the club from the kids upwards.

He said the ref was bad for both sides, and didn't argue with the handball.

Some people seem so keen to have a dig at Gus, just don't understand it. No he's not perfect, but he's by far the most technically advanced manager we have had in my lifetime (16-17 years watching the Albion) and is learning more all the time

He didn't blame the ref. And by the sounds of it, the pitch was awful but he didn't blame the pitch either - he commented on it. He started his interview with "We didn't play well."

I don't mean this as a slight to Gus, but we do tend to have a lot of yo yo type performances; good one week bad the next and so on.
We seem to lack consistency which sound management brings.
Looks like this match was treated like a foregone conclusion, despite the remarks before kickoff.
Players must be as up for playing bottom of the league teams as they are derby matches.
To be honest these games are where we should be looking for maximum return.

Completely agree. We seemed to not turn up today and in the end were a bit fortunate to come away with a point, we need to improve this aspect of our game if we really want to challenge for the play offs because Donny looked very poor

You can hardly call an unbeaten run in 2012 inconsistent.

We were ten minutes away from a victory and only a silly handball (haven't seen if he was pushed yet) stopped us taking the 3 points away from the match. It was a pitch that doesn't suit our style but we were very close to nicking the game - what more consistency are you after? Do we have to beat everyone 3-0 and be top 2 in the league?!

Just don't understand how we can be having such a fantastic season, buy yet people come out with shit like we haven't got a sound management team. Maybe it's just me but these comments wind me up more than Saints or Palace fans coming on here to troll

Exactly this! Millwall was another great opportunity for us to get to where we want to be. Unfortunately we didnt turn up that night either just as we didnt yesterday against donny. You have to wonder why thats happening?

Achievements like winning a division by a record number of points, clean sheets and weeks at the top of the table in his first full season as a manager? Did Tony pick the team, train the players and tdo the dressing room talks? If so you know more than anyone else.

Absolutely this.
Not with you Cornish, he's the one who might look back and say he once managed a top club when we were League 1, rather than us boasting having once had his services.
Gus is great, I like the man, but let's not magnify his stature more than he warrants. He has not set a new standard for Brighton, his tactics are often poor or one-demensional, and we are still getting outplayed occasionally by lower-league (and non-league!) cloggers.
ADKINS would have a better CV at this moment in time.

Is that the Adkins that lost this season to the 'lower league cloggers'? And came second to Gus last year despite having a team worth a helluva a lot more than ours?
