I have seen the greatest ever acting performance I have seen in a film in my life.

If he was that much of a actor he would only have 1 foot :)

Saying that i am quite looking forward to seeing it .

Lincoln , not the foot .

Bricktop in snatch was probably the best performance I have seen.

Found it compelling, witty, funny with a good use and range of the English language.

Cheshire Cat

The most curious thing..
I haven't seen Lincoln, but Daniel Day Lewis is also astonishing in"The Unbearable Likeness of Being" - a film that most children and keyboard warriors on here will hate and give it kev the teenager large, but which I think is amazing.

Looking forward to seeing Lincoln on Monday night so will see how Mr Day-Lewis gets on.

Another good performance lately was Ewen McGregor's turn in The Impossible although probably more for a single moment rather than the whole film. The section where he was breaking down over the telephone was stunning.

Some of my favourite acting performances:

Javier Bardem in Skyfall
John Simm in pretty much anything he does, but mainly Doctor Who and Life on Mars
David Tennant in the last 3 episodes of Doctor Who, series 3
Colin Firth in The King's Speech
Heath Ledger in The Dark Knight
Johnny Depp in Pirates of the Caribbean
Tom Hanks in Forrest Gump

Apologies for the excessive italics :dunce:

The book was very good but difficult to translate to the screen I thought. They had decent go though. Can't think of many actors who would have done a better job.

Facebook, yes. I am interested in anyone who has seen the film on their opinions as to his performance.

DDL is a fine actor, no question. I am looking forward to watching the film from a historical perspective as much as anything.

The only redeeming feature of the otherwise disjointed film

What, you mean Javier Bardem hamming it up as David Walliams?
