Those who didn't go missed out. I find it strange some people seem to need to belong to this online community (how many thousnad posts?) but don't see going to games as a priority. Some people have good reason, some don't. But in the end this is why we NSC, isn't it, not to compare opinions about the McCanns or whatever.

part of the reason im part of this 'online community' is because I cant get to games. Didnt finish work till 5 and thats 3hours away from withers. The only home league game ive got to was the second half of the milwal game add ticket and trainfair £50 for 45 mins football?? I cant afford to spend that much on that. As soon as my circumstances CAN change I promise you I'll be there.

Yup well said.

I get to games when I can, but it's hard living in the middle of nowhere. I shall be getting a Season Ticket next season when I have finished University - But I won't be outing the people who don't go because the majority of people who don't go have genuine reasons for doing so.

Just back at work on the old tub in Miami. Very pleased with the result, obviously. Then I saw the attendance. That is just shocking & very worrying.

But the question I asked of the man was WHY my CHOICE of not going to the game today automatically makes me a bad fan?

Surely if you were a "good fan" (what ever all this bollocks is about) you'd go to the game? No? Else you're as bad as those guys who sit in your local wearing a Man Utd shirt and being a know all?

I would have thought if you had the money, then you'd want to go?

Yes, of course I WANT to go and I have to money to do so. But I also have other things in my life that deserve my time as well. I therefore have to make a choice which today, resulted in me going shopping with my family.

That doesn't make me any less of a fan of Brighton and Hove Albion Football Club as Mr Hove Born & Inbred seems to suggest.

Well I think you should divorce your family, buy a house next to Withdean Stadium and marry Bas Savage. And you have to moonwalk through the turnstiles and into your seat. Only then will you be accepted into our gang.

I was there at the game but missed the 1st goal as son #2 wanted food RIGHT NOW rather than wait 5 mins for haf time. Still, all those around me kindly told me I'd missed a great goal and a moonwalk. I am therefore a BAD FAN.

grrrrrrr....
