your wife sounds to desent hope she just lets then get on with it next time,as for getting the women nicked she will only get a £50 fine once our week courts have had the say and you will then have to live the the hassle,is it worth it
there are many ways to skin a cat, and i'm sure there will be a chance to get even in the future;)

easy to say from the safety of a PC but if you don't presss charges what's to stop it happening again? If she's convicted and it happens again the police will be straight round, they might not bother if you do nothing.

Saying that, I bet your missus is worried about neighbourly relations, the affect on the "drunken PS's" children (into care?) and further incident.

Remember, YOUR WIFE DID NOTHING WRONG..THE DRUNKEN PS DID and probably needs help. Are her kids safe with her?

Tend to agree, well done for keeping your temper in check. I'm sure there are some on here who would have lamped her one.

does said ape have a mate about? You want to make sure it doesn't escalate.

Above and beyond your indignation, temper and desire for revenge, Dave, would you do me a favour and pass on my BEST WISHES to Mrs Easy for me, wish her lots of love from TLO and tell her I hope she doesn't look like you for too much longer.

Blimey Easy, sounds horrible. Hope Mrs 10 is feeling ok this morning and good on her for having the good grace to not press charges straight away.
Hopefully your mad neighbour will wake up with a serious hangover and a huge bout of guilt and will offer a grovelling apology.
I had a similar thing recently with a builder and decided not to press charges but just leave it to the police to give the bloke a serious warning. It seems to have worked. Its bloody hard not to lose your temper, but I'm sure if you had it would had made it worse.

Disgraceful behaviour. In fact, in my opinion, the idea of being completely pissed while supposedly caring for your own kids is probably a worse crime than punching an adult.

Stupid bitch.

Not Luton! Thank God
I'd press charges, but that very easy to say from a keyboard. I wouldn't be doing it to be vindictive but really because the local authority would have to get involved because of the children. You never know this might be the last straw that saves her children from being brought up by this monster.

Thanks for the kind comments peeps, I'll pass them on to Mrs Easy (along with a big hairy KISS from you Alan). She's decided not to press charges, as it would probably be more trouble than its worth in the long run. The cops went over and gave this woman a warning, so hopefully that should be the end of it. Presumably she's sobered up in the cold light of day, so I hope she at least feels thoroughly embarrassed and ashamed of herself. But with pikey lowlife scum like her, even that is probably too much to expect.

A great display of self control, Mr 10. I am sure you would have felt much worse if you had belted this woman. The kids that saw this incident will have learnt a thing or two from you.

Sympathy to Mrs 10. I think the shock of getting punched is much worse than the actual punch itself.

Oh, and the pretence was that she was (supposedly) PROTECTING her kids because...get this....my missus and one of the other neighbours were apparently encouraging her kids to run back and forth across the road dodging traffic, and rewarding them with lollipops for doing it.

Course thats exactly what mums do all the time, isn't it.

So sorry to hear this, Easy. You actually live just a few doors down fromm me as I'm in Gardner Road. Some people around here need their heads fixed. You did the right thing by walking away, but I still think you need to press charges....

I hope that pikey slag alpologises.

I hope the old snatch has the decency to at least come and apologise, but by the sounds of it she probably doesnt know the meaning of the word.

I reckon you should teach Mrs Easy 10 how to dish out a proper "five across the eyes" just in case ;)

To be fair though, we've lived here for 7 or 8 years now, and this is the very first violent incident either of us have ever been involved with, so its far from being a regular occurrence. Doesn't really matter where you go nowadays, theres always a scumbag just round the corner.
