Far left Labour government or a proper far left government because Labour has never been proper far left.

A far left Labour government as the one you talked about in the 80s. Naturally a proper far left government would be Marxism (I don't like calling it Communism as Stalin turned it into a political monstrosity).

I would guess a far left Labour government would be increased nationalisation of railways etc and industry. Wouldn't be a bad thing.

I think it would reintroduce widespread nationalisation, return power to the trade unions and introduce heavy levels of tax for higer earners, something like 80-90% for the very very top earners.

I also think that the Labour of the early 80s were pro Nuclear disarmament as well.

And the hospitals are worse off than in 97 when he come to power? immigration that is a total farse. 66 taxes rises since 97? all blair cares about is being president of Europe and saving the world. Mr brown raiding the pension fund to the tune of 4.5 billion pounds a year then saying people will need at least £50,000 saved for their retirement, before labour came to power our pension fund was the envoy of europe.

A victim, alas, of Thatcher's cuts in state school education I fear.

200,000 Iraqi Curds killed by Sadam might have preferred Blair to act a little sooner.

Maggie wouldn't be like a f***ing poodle. like Blair is to Bush. When bush shouts Blair shits his pants and follows.

Thatcher had a happy knack of agreeing every Reagan policy.

But when Reagan over steped the mark she told him and he was like putty in her hands. Blair is a f***ing joke full stop.

Admit it, you want to f*** Thatcher, don't you? Now's your big chance, Denis is otherwise engaged.

Threesome - I'm sure she wouldn't mind. Or perhaps notice these days.

The foundations for the current economic 'miracle' were laid by Kenneth Clarke. Before the Tories lost power to Labour, he was predicting huge fiscal surpluses. Brown has just been in the right place at the right time. It would take an utter moron to have f***ed up the legacy that Clarke left (mind you, Gordon, to his credit, has tried very hard to).
If you don't believe me, check out on the budgets that were presented by Clarke in the mid to late nineties. These were ridiculed by Labour at the time as fanciful in the fiscal projections, but, guess what, they were pretty accurate.

Policy - the fundamental changes to policy were carried out by the Thatcher government in the eighties. Trade union reform, privitisation, free-market economy, pension reforms, savings.

Of these, the labour government has only tampered with pensions and savings, and guess what, it's managed to f*** them both up.

Don't get me wrong, I don't disapprove of the aim of a labour government to create 'society', I feel as though the view of screwing the wealth creators to achieve it, just won't work.

My greatest fear is the TB will take us into a federal Europe, and that would be a disaster for our economy. All of the regulations coming out of Brussles would be a disaster.
