How realistic it is to win the FA Cup? What are the odds atm?
16/1 with Sky Bet. 9th favourites with the only Premier League teams on longer odds being Wolves and Ipswich. I think that’s just a reflection of the tough draw we have away at Newcastle.

Edit: we’re 5/4 to win the tie at Newcastle. By my Maths we’d then be approx 13/2 to win cup if we beat Newcastle.

FA Cup but I wonder which option Tony Bloom would choose?

Would he take Champions League qualification as the income helps realise a long term strategy that ultimately means winning the FA Cup in the future becomes more likely? Or is that just a load of nonsense and he’d say FA Cup as well.
Bloom??? The FA Cup every time. Absolutely.

The FA cup means nothing anymore. One win tends to be forgotten very quickly. Plus getting to the final seems to be cursed. Leicester, Wigan, Hull, Villa, Watford, all sides relegated that season or the season after. Palace and Stoke being exceptions to this. Then Portsmouth were relegated two years after winning it (and money trouble following). Hell United this season are struggling after winning last year. I just think its cursed.

I don't do hypotheticals, so I pinned the tail on the donkey. Finishing ninth means we'd end the season in mid table mediocrity, but win a trophy. CL qualification mean we'd have an outstanding end to the season, winning pretty much all our remaining games......
I want the latter, then win the league cup AND the FA cup next season when we've established ourselves. I'd then ride my pet unicorn to Wembley twice in the same season🦄🦄

This very question has been polled at least twice before on here, and the FA Cup win option wins easily every single time.

At the end of the day, finishing 4th doesn't go on the honours list. Nobody else will remember that in 20 years time.

Win the f***ing Cup. How can anyone want anything else? You can't put 4th in the league in the trophy cabinet. And I want to see us win something before I die.

That is my standard answer, and this is about the tenth time this question has been asked this season. It would irritate me, but at least the Cup now wins these polls - and wins comfortably. Previously on NSC it was always "Never mind the Cup, three points in the next league game is all that matters."

Not playing sorry.

I would be delighted with either, the third choice is a season which fades away into insignificance
An FA Cup win would be the highest of highs, but planning out a season of Champions League football would just be utterly utterly wallet bustingly brilliant.

Undecided.
Yes, a Cup win is something else. Glory at last and two very expensive trips to Wemberleee.
But what if we lose Sunday? That's it, our season is over because we've said so.
So take each game as it comes, win the easy ones and try hard in the difficult games.
There's no reason we cant do both, or even finish in a Conference place and give it up as Cup Winners, now there's a story.

Brighton factually.....
FA Cup all day long a final at Wembley.....

I do not agree with semi-finals at Wembley though, the only way I would go is if we got Palace.

Europe would follow naturally other than that, I am happy with anywhere between 9th-11th finish this season.
