I know football is a confidence game, but i don't want to become one of those kneejerk reaction people and holler for sackings at the first sign of trouble. I'd give the man some real time to get the team in flow. We had some good performances in games i would think we out here in plumpunsportsmanland thought we'd lose, so he has my applause for those efforts. It does strongly seem we have two major weaknesses in Stockdale and our frontline, but the latter can find its feet and venom, i think. And we have a transfer window for emergency buys if we're getting into real bother. We'll come good, and for a few more months at least with Sammi at the helm.

I'm not one for hire and fire, however something has got to change. Hypia has got to change the system as it just isn't working, while I admire someone who sticks to principles I also admire someone who is prepared to change things if they aren't working.

For me three mores games to get it sorted, it is broke and does need fixing!

Can live with a bad performance but am concerned about the lack of any team spirit shown today and wonder how much of this is down to Sami's very very dour personality.

I wonder if will ever know the truth behind this summer's recruitment. I'd love to know who Burkes first choice targets were, if they were vetoed then was it Bloom, Barber or Hyypia who said no. If his first choices were Colunga and COG then he must take his share of the blame. But bear in mind Burke identified Grabban and we wouldn't match his demands it seems to me the "blame" may lie further up the chain. The second half today was as bad as I've seen for a long time but no use pressing the panic button just yet. My worry is that I can't see any sign of our problems suddenly easing but I'm no fan of quick sackings. The question I would ask of the Hyypia out people is if the next manager got the same amount of points in the same amount of games would you then sack him too? At what point do you give your manager time even if it means a mid to lower table season?

I always err on the side of giving managers a decent amount of time, especially someone who is in his first job as a manager in England.

Unfortunately we seem to have employed, for two seasons now, a set of coaches who have no connectedness with the fans and fail to deliver a distinct brand of football in the manner Gus and co achieved. For consecutive years we have also had a complete balls up of a pre-season, only this time we have sold/released the core of our squad and replaced it with Chris O'Grady and Nzuzi Toko. The grand sum of that being we don't have solid foundations to carry from one season to the other.

Facts are the board focusing on commercial, infrastructure and all things FFP, have completely lost direction with the most immediate aspect of the club, the first 11. In doing so they have appointed a manager who is himself inexperienced and seemingly unequipped at management without 'an old head' alongside him and in turn:

-Provided him with an inept squad of midgets with not one forward who can head and finish from within the penalty area.
-Not one winger who can provide a cross for the aforementioned to happen OR shoot on target.
-A central midfield that goes to pot with one or two injuries.
-A defence that with contracts and loans expiring will be decimated at the end of the season.
-A goalkeeper that we paid a fee for who appears no better than the one we released.

All in all its not great really. I can see confidence amongst the players dwindling and when that happens it really is the beginning of the end for the coach.
