In fairness, Matt Heath claims to be from Brighton, but is studying in Sheffield. I would say that actually gives him more right to comment, then the current students here, who will have left the are 2 years before the stadium is built.

Again, I don't condone violence, but such a conflict would be more lawful than the Gulf War.

It would be the eco-warriors Waterloo. This would be no "normal" sitaution they'd find with a by-pass protest. You're not likely to get 1000s of extremely pissed off people, tired & frustrated after 10 years of hurt wanting to do nasty things to them when digging in somewhere in rural Hampshire!!

I have this image of Albion suppoprters massing in Wild Park to march up the A27, military style, singing rousing Albion Anthems & scaring the poor little blighters witless before even reaching Stanmer Park!!

I've already emailed the duties clerk volunteering my services for this particular gig if it ever happens. Nothing will give a season ticket holding diehard albion fan copper more pleasure than using the full powers of the law to remove anyone committing offences in the blind hope of stopping the new stadium being built.

I'm sure my gang will be sufficiently staffed to deal with this problem should it occur. I won't be hard to spot, I'll be the copper leading a baton charge against the massed unwashed.
