Huge queues at West Ham yesterday.

Frutos and i walked to upton park tube station, walked down the queue and only waited 20 mins to get to the station, near enough walked staight onto the tube to victoria then jumped on the 6.17 train to Haywards Heath, got in my front door at 7.45

The Doctor Marten's Stand didn't impress me all that much, considering it was a completely new stand. I'm sure the executive areas are very nice, but the ordinary punters' sections were just like any other football stand, the same very ordinary washrooms, just like public bogs, and the same number of inadequate refreshment bars. The view was excellent, but I think the stand will date quickly. By the way, where is the Quality Hotel? Is it built into the back of the stand?

As for the Tube, I took a bus to East Ham, and so got a seat. I had forgotten how slow the District Line is. I have a colleague who takes that line from Dagenham East to St James's Park every day. That is not a journey I would wish to do regularly by any means.

Walked down Barking Road to Millers Well, few beers while watching whole of Liverpool v Arsenal game. Plenty of other Brighton in pub, no queueing for a beer either. left about 8ish got tube at East Ham, all clear then.
