Nope, any of the mercenaries who jumped ship with Potter can all just stay away... he may be capable of doing a job, but that cohort of money grabbers would simply add too much division amongst the fans, and maybe even the general staff at the club.
Harsh on a man who had no idea whether he would be kept on under the next head coach. And as for division among the staff, I know for a fact that some still socialise with him.

I dont know anything about coaching or our incoming manager but it would seem sensible to bring in an older more experienced assistant who has been there and done it. Also since we are appointing another tactically maverick perhaps an old school coach like Felix Magath?
That made me smile. And in a good way. Reminds me where football actually sits in the Pantheon of Things. Incredibly important, yet of no tangible consequence.

Back to your suggestion..... what about this bloke https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ottmar_Hitzfeld

Personally, I think the young man deserves to make his own way. If he wants a grandfather assistant he would probs be better off picking someone with experience of the EPL......Step forward, Curbs, Suey, Pards and Fat Sam?

Whatever.... I am now officially excited. Can't wait for the season to start!

But Immanuel Kant
Lucky I didn't have a mouthful off coffee when I read that. You little tinker.

(You would have been better off channeling (something something about) Jackie Chan, if you were to take pronunciation into consideration, though

At least he's got experience...
And a clear vision:

  1. What can I know? How to set up free kicks and corners.
  2. What should I do? Coach the fuckers so they Get It.
  3. What may I hope? Probably mid table, and a decent cup run would be nice.

I assume he'll have a set piece specialist coach in mind given its been an important part of his tactics. Maybe the same guy as at St Pauli but its just taking more time to negotiate for him.

If we’re not bringing his staff over from St Pauli then I wonder if we’ll look at someone like Tobias Schweinsteiger.

Played alongside Hürzeler at Bayern 2, went on to gain all his badges and coached their youth teams as an assistant manager. Is used to being a number 2 at other clubs and is currently available.

Good research 👍
