Remember the clamour to play like Wagner a while back? Just had a look on their forum and found this post.

In the second half of last season Town scored just six goals at home: 1-4 West Ham, Bournemouth 4-1 and Watford 1-0.

With one home game remaining before New Year, they have scored just three goals this season: Fulham 1-0, West Ham 1-1 and BHA 1-2.

In the 2018 calendar year Town have managed to score just nine goals at home - and two of those have been own goals.

I do not know of any record as poor from any other club.
It's a truly embarrassing statistic.

Indeed, missing a striker.

And unfortunately for them they have 3 very easy games in a row coming up so won’t have one in for them games!

Think they are gone.

Has mooy gone with Ryan ?

Australia agreed Mooy is injured so he was left out of the Asia Cup squad.

For a side who prides itself on trying to play attacking football that stat is truly shocking, especially bearing in mind that none of their goals this season have been scored by a striker.

Perhaps rather like Fulham, they are providing plenty of chances, but no one is putting them in the back of the net.

The PL record for fewest home goals in a season is 10 by Manchester City 2006/7

Surely it's not as bad as the stat that Leicester City have won as many Premier League games at St Mary's in the last calendar year as Southampton.

Let that sink in for a minute. In 12 months, Leicester have only been there for two league games and won both. In that time, Southampton have only managed to win at home in the league twice themselves.

Calendar year is tougher as you have to do well enough to stay up in the first half of the season to play in this game.

Sunderland almost completed a full calendar year without a single victory in 2017. Unfortunately, they beat Fulham to end the run.

I remember at the beginning of last season some people were marvelling at how quickly Huddersfield bought new strikers. Didn't seem to matter how good they were

It was a frustration that athough we were promoted 6 or 7 weeks before Hudd, they did their transfer business early, giving a full pre season to their semi-new squad.

We did get that transfer window wrong regarding forwards. Remember the mad dash move for Spurs flop Janssen and before that Babacar? Something PB and TB then covered in messages to the colossal Albion fanbase. Lessons learnt.

I remember at the beginning of last season some people were marvelling at how quickly Huddersfield bought new strikers. Didn't seem to matter how good they were

Their problem is lack of knowledge of the PL by their Manager. He has recruited players that were good Championship players and carried them into the PL like Van La Para and Nakki Wells. They should have dropped them like a hot potato as soon as they got promoted and replaced them with better because they are taking up squad places although they might be getting wise to that now.

They continually shoot from distance because they can't counter attack quick enough to catch teams out on the ''turnover of possession'' and their strikers snatch at chances. Murray is not as good a player as their strikers but he is calmness personified and he doesn't miss many opportunities when they fall to him. We also have one of the best defensive partnerships in the league.

Huddersfield need to get good transfer business done in January or they are ''goners'' along with Burnley because all their scrappy 1-0 wins with goals from corners and free kicks have all but dried up. They haven't ''evolved as a squad since they have come up and that has made them and Huddersfield all to predictable.

Contrast that with ourselves and you see a team whose Championship star men are starting to become squad players. Our recruitment has been far more measured and we have tended to integrate the new arrivals a more sustainable pace so that not to upset the rythmn of the match day squad

Van La Parra being loaned to Boro in January. Only turned out five time this season. It seems NooBHA is right. It's taken them too long to spot the players who just aren't up to it.

A lot of comments on Huddersfield's forum about him falling out with Wagner. Apparently both won't talk to one another.
