Me too, Can't say it's been that hard really, alot easier than i imagined.
I get a few cravings each day but they soon pass when you think of something else. I just wish i'd done it years ago

I'm sure it will get harder as time goes on but at least I wont have to sit near other people smoking in pubs and at football etc, Are you using patches to help quit?

No I got perscribed Champix by the Dr, I just take a tablet morning and night and it stops (most) of the cravings You still need will power to initially quit though

I stick a patch on when I go to work but other than that I just chew on a bit of nicotine gum if I need it, or if things get too bad then I've got one of those inhalor things. I think it's helping because Mrs Bulldog quit at the same time as me so we're encouraging each other.

freedom of choice TiD. Everyone knows the consequences but at the end of the day, it's their body to do with as they want.

does that mean, buz, you would legalise all drugs, prostitution, racist literature, in fact, everything?

all we would get is our capitalist friend, 'the race to the bottom'.

After the 15 year spell of cancerous comfort i inhaled ended with the slashed and sliced will to remember, i went through the last 21 months without smouldering anticipation. But a month or so ago on a stag do i had a few snouts. mmmmm, snouts are nice. Tis no longer my daily norm though, so a sickly habit doesn't seem to have reformed, like Boyzone, and that's quite good.
One day, though, i do embrace the thought of being a pipe'n'tache'man. Whether it means i'm sexually entranced by those with smoky pokers and thickened beds of mat and tear, i don't know, but i am hoping to be old enough to accept literally anything.

We're going to Disneyland for Christmas this year, and I really want to have given up totally by then. I don't want my holiday ruined by constantly looking for somewhere I can have a crafty fag, as I suspect my opportunities will be somewhat limited in Disney?

I went to Disney last year and there are designated smokeing spots, which are shown on the parks map.
As a non-smoker who had to wait near one of theres and regular intervials during the day where members of the group i was in was having a quick fag, i did find this slightly annoying as would rather be standing in a que to get on a ride and feel as if im accually heading somewhere.

Keep it up people you're doing well. Non smoker for 3 years now, wish i'd done it sooner.

I heard they don't work, and that all you end up doing is spending loads on them instead of fags.

I gave up just under 30 years ago, and it was all strength of will, manliness and intelligence. It seems I'm just well endowed like that.

Going past pubs now and seeing the smokers outside makes me so glad I do not, they look a bit sad really dragging away as if there life depended on it, I suppose they are worried that when they go back in there pint will have gone.

I allready have done it, I dont smoke anymore.

So, you are a non-smoker, am I given to understand?

This would be a fine name to be called, I recall I repeated that title with some pride when I first accepted the mantle (and more so because I had bestowed it upon mine own self. It increased my self-respect)

A couple of times, smokers I knew tried to even press a cigarette on me; "go on, have one, you know you want one". The demon ciggy receded much further into the lovely distance with every refusal, it was great!
It doesn't bother me too much to still be around smokers and smokey pubs and clubs, but then my sense of taste and smell came gradually back....and the odour in the clothing, or in a smoker's house hit me, and wasn't particularly pleasant I must say.
I also found my skin was improved! Smoking had made darker lines under my eyes, and the skins' 'sheen' was noticeable only once it came back!
Some of these things were not noticed effects of drawing on a ciggy, while I was smoking.

I have to admit, I do actually look down on women that smoke, and often find it very unattractive in women. When I see people with a fag, it occurs as a sort-of blithe sickness, a bit of a sorry addiction.
