Most of us were outraged by Chelsea poaching Potter early season so would you be OK with us doing the same to another club?

Yes, I am a hypocrite as I can't think of an out of work manager I'd want here - no not even Poch

Let's go spread some of the angst to another club

Or do you think we should just be nice and honourable and go for an out of work manager

There can only be two options can't there but I'll add one in case I've missed it.

Chelsea didn’t poach though, they asked if they could talk to him and we granted permission - hopefully we’ll do the same and in the event, we’re refused, the individual concerned will resign 😂

Part of the sport and unavoidable. Of course we must do it.

I have the feeling that we are going to have a massive percentage of like minded people

We can't really have any justification in criticising Chelsea though can we?

I'd not feel great about it to be honest, but we haven't really been given much choice in the matter. I do know that we will do it in the right way, but it's time for the gloves to come for us at the moment. We have to get the right person in as we look to move up a level.

Yes providing its done in the right way.
None of this manager resigning if other club say we can't speak to their manager.

So if we approach a club, they refuse permission so he resigns and we employ him you wouldn't be happy with that?

Oh that's a bit tough... no errrr yes errrr no errr yes... I guess it's about doing it the right way and not leaving the other club with a current player and the last coach standing in charge.

I suspect we'll handle the process with all the respect and decorum you'd expect from our club and those that run it.

Until this week I would have been more on the fence, but now, why not. Maybe we need to stop being so "nice" and a bit more ruthless to ensure our own survival!

This - althugh I'm certain some prior discussions - sounding out via the agent, for instance - will have taken place. I think that prbably happens most of the time.

Don't think many were critical, just huge disappointment. Wishing ill on Chelsea though is a given as they're wankers.

Food chain innit.

We get stiffed and now we go and stiff someone else lower down.

Seems to be the way it works now.

Football is a business and has no soul.

In which other industry do employers only consider jobless people, and not those already working in similar roles for other companies...?

I went other… as it depends on who we are appointing / approaching.

Kjetil Knutsen - the Norwegian League finishes in November and they’re challenging for the title. I wouldn’t be surprised if he wanted to see it out, and him joining at the end of their season isn’t so bad (assuming Blooms happy to wait).

Similar with Gallardo as his contract is nearly up. I’m also a big fan of De Zerbi who recently left Shaktar, his ideals fit in with way we want to play, he likes bringing youth through and also likes giving unfavourable players second chances.

There’s options to look at which wouldn’t essentially mean poaching / disrupting another clubs season which could be looked at, but the most important thing is getting the right person (and coaching team) for the job. If that is to get them via poaching then it has to be done.

Good point, well made.

I just wanted to check that we were all onboard with doing a Chelsea on another club. We don't really have a choice unless we are happy to plummet to the bottom of the table or wait and hope Rodgers or someone else gets the sack soon. Poch is not an option I don't think
