No doubt TB has gone LARGE on a Boro win or Draw - no matter how poor the odds it's a win / win for him.
This would make sense except he doesn't bet on anything related to us. Conflict of interest innit.

Whether any of his rich mates are having a wager on Boro or not is another question.

3 minutes to go in a cagey game with few chances for both sides and it's still 0-0, Chris looks to his bench; one sub remaining.

With little time to waste, he assesses his options. Wilson and Kaz are already on; Bong, Sidwell, Calde and Murphy are the only outfield options left.

'We could get Bong on and have two attacking down the left? We could get Sidwell on to play in behind the strikers? Stick Calde on for the sake of romance? Get Murphy running at a tiring defence?'

'No, we need to go direct. Niki, get a shirt on mate, you're on'.

The forgotten man, the 6 foot 3 Finnish hipster Niki Maenpaa, takes his glasses off, puts his pipe down and pulls on the fabled un-numbered shirt.

94th minute, Knocky rinses 3 defenders but is bought down out on the left flank. Jiri whips the ball in to the far post, where Stockdale scorpion kicks it back into the mix for Niki to blast home from 6 yards.

We take over Boro's promotion party, Jiri is pouring vodka from the bottle into his eyes (gets it into the bloodstream quicker), Colin Calderwood is doing mad flips and shit on the bouncy castle and Niki is there in the corner in a tweed jacket wearing a monacle, eating a Quorn ready meal and reading a book on vintage typewriters. His work for today is done.

We will get a fifth minute penalty which Hemed will miss but we will then go onto score 2 goals in the 20th and 38th minute. Boro will get one back in the 48th minute and Sidwell and Calderon will come on in the 60th minute for Hemed and Skalak and we will face 38 minutes of constant pressure and in the last few seconds Boro hit a shot from 25 yards which is going out for a throw in before hitting Rhodes in the stomach and going in off both posts.

Among the many scenarios played out in my semi-consciousness last night, I had Skalak larruping one into the Boro goal straight from kick-off after Hemed tapped the ball forward. 1-0 Albion in 5 seconds

This has pushed my confidence through the roof. Too perfect not to happen.

0-0 into added time. Knockaert fouled in the box in the 94th minute. Tomer Hemed steps up to take a £170 million penalty kick.

Five things Albion have to do to win at Boro (Perseus version)

1) Keep a sound back four + keeper. No errors especially early in the
game.
2) Pace the pressing game, so we don’t get burnt out chasing shadows, even of this means ceding possession in the first half.
3) Gain an upper hand from the KO in the second half, winning the second ball, and keeping possession and not getting forward passes intercepted.
4) Produce a rabbit out of the hat: an individual piece of skill, a set piece routine to score the needed goal
5) Consolidate and keep hold of the lead, hopefully by keeping possession of the ball, against an expected Boro onslaught.

What will happen:

1) Boro will do the same. So the opening will be tentative, both teams playing deep and a wary of advancing too far forward and getting caught in possession.
2) Boro will try and play he game at their pace. Albion should be up the tempo, but this will mean pre-arranged substitutes in the second half. I think the tempo will fail because Boro will intercept the passes. Boro will miss lots of half chances. Albion could concede at this point.
3) A terrifying midfield battle as both teams try and dominate in midfield.
4) CH will be first with the substitutes which on past occurrences has disrupted our game as they fail to get up to pace. Albion will be vulnerable around 66 minutes. Karanka will watch the game slide away from him, reluctant to play substitutes himself. This is will be the key period and a goal is likely.
5) Losing team will play three at the back and be vulnerable to the counter attack. Both teams will be unable to keep possession and will result to spoiling tactics as the time ebbs away ever so quickly.

Sadly I am going for a repeat of the home game, we will go all guns blazing and they will soak up the pressure and eventually win 3:0. Just hope we can avoid any injuries or red cards.

I think you over-think every one of your posts somewhat :moo:
Are you retired like BG???

Wilson to score on a break out with ball be passed to him quickly on the ground allowing him to run on to it and go through a mazy run. Wilson then to score another near the end following another break again similar ball to feet but this time clean through.
