so you left college at 18 and walked into a job that paid you over 20k??

no you didnt,

you started doing something crap, then progressed through whatever profession you're in, and now earn a decent wedge- nt disputing that,

but you CANNOT get a first job without a degree that pays you over 20k.

When I left school the requirement for a decent job ie nursing was 5 O' levels inc English and Maths. To get an A you had to get over 80%.
Now you need a degree. I believe I have seen El Pres say that a degree nowadays is equivalent to 5 O' levels.

You almost got caught out at Varndean! The amount of work we both put in their was fairly shocking! Remember staying on the bus and going down the font for a pint instead? :lolol:

:lolol: the BEST was when we got on the bus, stood outside the room as we were a little late, didnt understand what the teacher was talking about so again decided the font was a more sensible decision:lolol:

and we were STILL the best in the class

We absolutly walked it really. :lolol:

Oh those were the days. I actually have to plan and manage my time now I'm at Uni.

Which by the way, is not equivalent to 5 A levels. No idea about O levels to be honest.. A degree is a degree, no amount of lesser education is equal to one.

Report on the radio just said that the grade C pass mark for GCSE maths is a massive 18% :nono:

That is completely pointless. If standards are going to be set so low, exam certificates should now include the % achieved, alongside the grade awarded.

Surely the heading should be "How to get 84% WRONG and still pass..." :lolol:
