How old is NSC?

That was exactly how it worked.

And there was a lot of trouble caused by wind-up merchants like Kurt Angle. Thank goodness we don't see that sort of thing these days.

Oh yes, Kurt Angle was a wanker to be prized, until dwayne took his crown (or perhaps was just a name-change).

I recall it being extremely cliquey, with name's like 'Hart's Shirt'. Pimpster was on my case for having the brilliant handle of Nice Mister Hilter, and I had to fend of and beat down most of a clique alone, with no mates.....to THIS DAY!

Nobody knows, the trouble I seen etc.

Now, although others control and maintain this site, it is there purely for me, and I own it.
I will give Stalingrad Chat a miss, this time around.

I think I first posted in 1997 as Yorkshire Seagull. I only posted a few as I didn't get a home PC until 1999 (I used the sole works library PC during lunch breaks)

What is funny is how many used their real names.........John Hawkins. Now everybody has a usename of sorts.

Anyhow, happy birthday NSC and I look forward to another 10 years of rumours, wind ups, moans, holiday destinations, music reviews, film reviews, religion, polls, politics, immigration, bets, big brother 9-18 and the occasional albion related gem

There have been a few Berkshires, another Berkshires.

Are we talking about the one that came to the meet ups a few years ago? mate of DannySeagull? now posts as Sir Albion (I think)

I started posting in early 98 as McGully, though I posted with a couple of pseudonyms at the same time.

I can remember the board being bombarded by Dave the Eagle, as well as Kurt Angle, I had a short time as a moderator and spent many a happy hour deleting miles of rubbish posted by them.

I started in November 2002, this was pre Kev, 1066, LI, Les Biehn etc.

Wozza, as Nathan Barley, was about to piss off safeway with the banning of his pointless polls, and that's where NSP came from.

Ernest was called Ernie, don't know why there was that subtle name change.

How old is NSC?

Carbon Dating (and who'd want to go out with a piece of carbon?) puts it at 3 million years old.

But according to the Old Testament, it was all knocked up by Lord B last week, in only six minutes. On the seventh, he rested with a fag and a pint of Harveys.

Fact.

A little secret for you from all those years ago,
ssshhhh! you didn't hear it from me,

KURT ANGLE is ERNEST

If I remember rightly, he was usually
referred to as Kunt Angle

So nothing new there now.

Because his previous name change had been so radical that people have forgotten who he was in 1997?

1998/9 ish for me, same name as ever except I think I posted under my real name once or twice (as was the fashion at the time, erm, I mean as you had to chose a name every post)

I first found NSC years ago early 2000's.

But i think it must have been off season because i remember thinking wtf there's sod all on here about the albion, but there's a nice cake recipe.

So i never joined up til a few years later, even though i read it every now and then.

That must have been in the days of "We haven't come for a poxy point!" Taffy. (Just before Cardiff lost at Withdean, again)

I first was on here about 2000 - i didn't post all that much though as 1) i was a child, and 2) i wasn't actually that clued up about the Albion back then. I also remember E block Ernie, Taffy, South Stand Chat (when NSC kept crashing), and the start of NSP. Never really understood the whole Lizard thing though. I also remember NSC being down for about a month, and when it came back everyone's accounts had been deleted, so it 'started from scratch'. Seems like longer than 4 years ago!

Since getting Broadband, my post count has rocketed, although that's co-incided with getting to know lots of NSCers.

For the person who says it's no longer important - that's simply not true. It's just that so many more people post on here now that there's 99% irrelevance and 1% importance.:)

I was pre-2000 under another name. It was when it came back and all hed to register that I couldn't be bothered, until recently.

Still was a reader though and there were quite a few topics I'd liked to have joined in on.
