Once a week after some 5-a-side soccering (so that's about 3 times month actually) a and maybe twice a month to meet other chums after work.

So I'd say 5 or 6 times a month, but I only stay for more than two about once a month. And actually, I'm off alcohol for two months at the moment anyway.

Only every so often in Brighton.

When I'm back in Northampton, 3-4 times a week to make up for the short amount of time I spend there.

Nothing against the pubs in Brighton, in fact they're far better, just don't have any 'pub going' friends down here really!

Assume you're fishing with some of this but anyway..
the breweries and Govt. tax especially etc are to blame. -
True.

Central London is now approaching 4 quid a pint as standard.
That ain't acceptable. How much is tax and profit? Ooooh a huge
amount. -
The pub where I work on a £3.50 pint of Stella the landlords profit is less than 10p. Most goes in tax or what we are forced to pay to the brewery.

The pubs deserve to go under and so do the Govt. I feel for the
people working in them -
The pubs most certainly do not deserve to go under, though how some of these places survive is beyond me. If we didn't do so well on food we'd go under in a matter of months.

I make sure I go at least twice a week to my local. its a f***ing dump with plumbing coming out the walls, poorly acknowledged handwritten no drug taking signs no food and relys on alkie old micks watching the racing to keep the fucker going, but at least no one suggests the solution to its problems are putting in some sofas, getting a chalk board up with seared tuna on and some organic ales with jokey names, and a DJ.

Instead people just have a laugh everyone talks to each other and do not sit on facebook on their macbook.

Use It Or Lose It.

Ok - the breweries deserve to go under then. That's certainly what I meant.

Sorry.

About 3 times a week. I'm not the sort of person that can just have a quick pint after work and that's it. I used to spend the whole f***ing night in there til closing time on the Stella and still get to work the next day, how the f*** i don't know but a lot of mornings i used to throw up and actually felt better after that.

Now, just weekends and a midweek football match are the only times.

About 2 or 3 times a week. My "local" local closed down recently, so I've started going to this other one thats just re-opened after a refurb, and its MARVELLOUS. Its a lot further to walk, but its such a nice little pub I don't mind, just listen to podcasts on the way.

Usually Friday after work just for 2 or 3, Sunday lunchtime with the sports supplement, and sometimes on a Wednesday for the soccerball.

The Albion has re-opened with cheaper beer

shouldn't there be an accompanying poll:

How often do you have few drinks at home?
