Applause. He did a sterling job for us, then went for a better job (higher pay in a higher division). Which of us would not do the same?

Definate grief. He waited all fecking summer for something better and then signed only to piss off as soon as something finally came.
A man of no honour

I wont be doing anything. He turned his back on us, but left us with some decent players, did not come poaching and helped with our stadium push after he had left.

Or to look at it another way, signed the contract so that Brighton would end with something. A man of some honour.

I think he shat on us, but has been VERY supportive with Falmer and wouldn't have left if the ground situation was more clear.

I'll probably remain muted. Or maybe I just won't go as usual. :jester:

He may have done a good job while he was here, but I was very disappointed with the way he handled the contract / walking out bit.

I believe I said at the time "he could have been the messiah, now let him rot in hell"

I'll be giving him abuse (unless I've got my kids with me, in which case they will be on my behalf).

Coppell did a good job but he is a man without honour.

Adams had achieved something, he'd built a team and won a championship. Coppell fecked off having achieved nothing except relegation.

At the end of the day he signed the contract, we put our faith in him, he fecked off and let down the club. End of story.

Coppell used as a stepping stone and showed he was not the honourorable man I thought he was. He also pissed us around for ages as he was "torn".

He did nothing for us except bring in Leon. However close he came to saving us from relegation is irrelevant because he failed and walked.

He's done f*** all at Reading and we're now in the same division, so I no longer care as I think we have a better manager.

No stick and just 6 points will be fine :)

Applause but plenty of renditions of P A L A C E

No Ali, you are not having Cullip :p

Steve Coppell admitted that He was waiting for Dick Knight to offer him more money, that never happened,He then went on about the stadium debacle,He knew about this when he arrived,I shall not give the chutney ferret the honour of a boo,I suggest We all turn our backs on Him as He walks accross the pitch,do it in silence for about a minute, that will upset Him more than any abuse.

Of course, when we beat them 2-1 again, we can sing 'Coppell, Coppell, what's the score?'

Er no....Yorkie was quite right, it's 'spelled' - although I believe 'spelt' is accepted as an option. Spelled is more common though.

Those of us who started school before 1970 actually did learn to spell properly :)

Coppell is spelt with Two L's, not one, as it was spelt in your post before you edited it, at 10:37 Pm.

Spelt Yorkie, not spelled...
