Obviously nobody wants Elliott to leave, but what do you think is a realistic valuation? Forget sell on clauses, try and be realistic.

He is priceless to us, I can't see us selling him unless he wants to go, or if its for ridiculous money which we wouldn't be able to refuse (1m+).

If he wants to go then circa 500 - 750k.

Probably worth 750k but would be disappointed if we sold him for anything less than £1.25m

The Championship is worth £4m+ to us. The Premier League guarantees £30m for finishing bottom (TV deal) and a further £48m in parachute payments. He creates half of all our goals. How much is he worth to us and how much is he worth to someone else?

Based on Chamberlain at SCC got to be 1.5M (1/4 of the rumoured fee for him)

I'd agree with this. He's our main goal creator, keep the same squad and we're in the Championship....lose Bennett and it's not as clear cut. TB knows this, and he won't sell him. As an excellent third division winger his value is probably £500k, but to us he is priceless.

He is basically worth what someone is prepared to pay for him.

I think it would be a shame if he went, but not a disaster, certainly noone looked very good today. I think what would be more of a loss would be if Bennett and Murray went in this round of transfers.

Alan Navarro is a month away from being fit which with him alongside Sparrow maybe will compensate for Bennetts loss, BUT I think Murray has been playing better and better and I am not sure Barnes/sandaza is a good enough player to fill his position.

Let's just keep talking about how shit he is, and wondering when that niggling injury will come back, and maybe the scouts will stop looking.

WE SHOULD ONLY SELL WHO WE DON'T WANT! CHAMPIONSHIP IS PRIORITY!

I have to disagree. We have four or five strikers, cover at centre half, loads of central midfielders but only one right winger. The current alternative is probably Gary Hart or a complete change of tactics. It's a scary thought.

I do agree that we do have cover in those areas, however I don't think the cover is as good as the first choice.....the laddie who went to Cambridge looks lightweight, Sandanza is probably only a sub type player and Gus doesn't seem to rate Barnes as much as perhaps we do...that leaves the Norwegian bloke who hasn't played and garry hart, who couldnt hit a cows arse with a banjo these days.

If Tommy goes, that leaves Dunk as cover who to be fair to him played really well at Southampton.

I agree there is heaps in central midfield, although quite a few times this season, Bennett has pulled away from right wing ( ending up at full back quite a few times)...BUT that is Gus's game.....attack quickly and defend in numbers...hence we are top of the league and we are very good at it.

Not for sale but possibly worth £1m, would sell if offer exceeded £2.5m

The value of Bennett is tied into the club in so many ways. He is by far and away our best player. If he went, our season could collapse as there is no one who could take his place. Also, what message would it be sending Poyet if Bloom sanctioned the sale of our best player?

Our aim is to get promoted this year and to challenge next year. We won't do that if we sell our best players at the drop of a hat.

If Chaimberlain, a player who i think is in his first season, has never played above league 1 but at 17 has bags of potential is worth £5 million.
Then i would want at least half of that for Bennett.

I know Chaimberlain is regarded as being a bit special but Bennett has 20 assists so far this season, thats more than anyone in league 1 got in the whole of last season!
He has also chipped in with his fair share of goals over the last season and a half that he has been here and is pretty good with set pieces.
He is also a very pleasant character who i dont imagine chucking his toys out the pram every time his manager makes a decision he doesnt like.

Now lets turn things around and imagine we were trying to sign someone with those qualities, "he wouldnt come here" , "we couldnt afford him" and "what planet are some people on" are just three of the responses you would expect to hear on this forum!

My honest opinion is £500,000 to £750,00+. If Norwich offer or any other club for that matter offer that, then I don't think we could reject a type of bid like that.

Disagree. Promotion this season when moving to a brand new stadium in the Championship is worth £4m. Why would we want to jeopardise that to get £750k in the bank now? It does not make financial sense. We are not a selling club anymore. Elliot is worth more to us here than not. On top of this he's on a long term contract and his value will more than double with promotion.
