I've raised this on another thread because I simply don't know the answer. At 21, if Norwich offer £200k and he wants to go, are we at the mercy of a tribunal settling the fee??

No, because he is contracted until summer 2014. The tribunal is only used when a player is out of contract and his former club have offered him a new deal (same as his current or an improved deal), but the player decides to sign for another team.

Cheers for that. I knew he had the extended contract but had forgotten how the system worked.
For me I would want £2m minimum, for him to go during this window for these reasons.
Generally transfer fees are inflated in this window rather than summer transfers.
Wolves have a sell on clause from when we signed him so we will lose some of the fee (at least 10%, from what I've heard).
The extra £4m we will earn from being in the championship would be at risk without Bennett. This is without even considering the extra revenue from away fans. In the Championship we would not be getting Mickey Mouse clubs bringing a few hundred fans like we get week in week out now.
The cost of replacing him. Even if it was Harley from Exeter you would expect it to cost at least £300k. If you minus this and the sell on a fee of £1.5m that leaves £1m ish which for me is nowhere near enough for the best player in League 1.
Oh I forgot he has just signed a four year contract too, this adds more to his value too. It is not just what Bennett is worth as a player but what he is worth to us.
And a further thought, we all presume Lua Lua is worth at least £1.5m. In my opinion Bennett is a better player, is more consistent and does not have injury problems. Lua Lua cannot play all of every game because of his hamstrings, according to Gus anyway.
