Compulsory ticketing for the trains between Brighton and Falmer just will not work with the current setup. Those claiming it will have their own agenda and are best ignored.

However, it could work if ticketing barriers were in place as part of the queueing system for Falmer trains at Brighton, but that's not the case. The ticketing checks will have to be performed at Brighton rather than Falmer because given the size of Falmer Station, the gates HAVE to be open to let everyone pass through quickly as each train arrives. If people were ticket-checked at Falmer, it would only take a few ticketless people to create a dangerous situation with possible crushing.
anyone could bunk a train on match days, HOW MANY PEOPLE GET THEIR SEASON TICKETS/TRAIN TICKETS CHECKED ???

It's not just the steady price rises that are upsetting the people I go with, it's also the steady erosion of services etc. that we're experiencing year on year.

The stopping of the East Stand Brasserie post match for example is a real shame. This was a real bonus to wait out the queues in a nice environment, and gave a real sense of being valued by the club opening up this facility. I've not seen any real explanation of why this has stopped. They always took a fortune at the bar for at least an hour or so after the game.

Here is the "real explanation", from the Argus on Saturday June 8 2013:-

City College Brighton and Hove (who ran the restaurant) pulled out because of the cost.
