Very rarely spend any money at the stadium unless I'm flush which isn't very often and I certainly wouldn't queue up to pay rip-off prices (I don't knock the club mind you as the demand is there with plenty of mugs paying these rates for over-priced junk food)
I'm an all or nothing type of person so might buy 10 pints one game and the other 9 out of 10 games buy jack (apart from spending a penny in the bogs)

Knocked programmes on the head in the last season at Withdean, and halftime hattrick ticket after first season at Amex. I prefer to put the money towards away games instead.

So the majority here are not going to spend what the club want them to spend on top of their match day ticket?
The club needs to do a rethink then because the strategy is based on 30k people spending more than the average supporter (in this thread at least) can afford!

not sure how i achieve it,drive now so no beer.
dont do programmes anymore,lucky sweets at half time yes,lottery for the kid yes......must be the overpriced bovril.
Snacks at footy in this country are seriously overpriced.
Munich 2001,the big England win i bought 8 hot dogs at half time,they were dirt cheap and proper tasty,hence my over consumption(nothing to do with me being tipsy).Would never consider 8 hot dogs in this country......far too bloody expensive.

We tend to buy in rounds. On a saturday we start in Haywards Heath then usually have 2 two pints and (sometimes) a pie in the ground. I didn't bother drinking at half time last year and don't intend to this year. I haven't bought a programme for over 10 years, purely because I never get around to reading it. After the game it's back to HH for more drinks.
If it's a night game, I am lucky to squeeze a pint in before the game.

?? Sounds like just from this small sample fans spend hundreds of pounds a year at the Amex and will carry on doing so.
Some churn but to be expected. The actual spend per fan at the ground is one of the highest in the country ...
Ps: a pint / half, a programme, hat trick, and pie for me and pie/hotdog for the boys. Bag of wine gums bought in advance.

I suppose it is difficult for somebody earning north of £500K per year to understand that the majority of the club's supporters don't have bottomless pockets.
I've said it before, and I'll say it again, Barber will keep squeezing until the pips squeak. Keep on paying the inflated prices, and the club will keep putting them up.

Really? I'm surprised and pleased about that (not that I didn't always do so anyway).
Saturday games - 1 or 2 pints before, 1 at halftime and 1 or 2 pints after. Say, 4 pints plus a pie plus a drink for the boy at half time plus a drink/hotdog after. So guess £25ish
Midweek - pint before, pint at half time plus a drink/snack/burger or hotdog for the boy so guess less than £15
Guessing I'm what many are calling a mug (wouldn't be the first time!) as i don't really see it as expensive given i'm a captive audience - it's nearly £4 for a pint of 4% lager in my local so not a lot different. Pints going up 20p a go costs me 80p on a Saturday and 40p midweek so negligible really although I have no idea how much they or food have gone up til Saturday.
Appreciate there are a good few saying they'll not bother but, given the size of the queues since we've been at the Amex, I still can't see it having any real effect because as soon as the queues get shortened then there will no doubt be a few peope happy to pay the price who have previously been put off by the queues??
I do wish they served a better lager than Fosters though...
