Some times in my life I go through stages of going out and drinking a lot, other times hardly at all. I rarely have alcohol in the house except if there is some left over after a meal or something. Usually if I have a few heavy weekends in a row I'll leave off it for a while, more to get my head back to normal than worried about consumption.

I would think the chance of being killed in a car crash is higher or the chance of a meteor landing on your head and killing you is about the same, of course the press whip it up saying the death rate " soared " !!!!!!.

I'm on a plan to get rid of it - to drink only once or twice a week if that- I used to have a couple of glasses of wine a night, but I've noticed a vague fogginess creeping into my mornings, not sleeping very well and generally feeling unhealthy. So things must change as I don't like feeling like this - as much as I like a drink - I'd prefer to be clear headed and happy and that means no more drinking!
