I did have 33 teeth about 5 years ago. Now down to 28, after having 5 wisdom teeth removed.

All expect two wisdom tooth.

Lovely experience, had them done during lockdown but only after they allowed the dentists to be opened. I managed to get emergency anti-biotics during lockdown.

Anyway

... Anaesthetic failed on one of them, so I had the choice being held down or sent to hospital. So they held me down.

Afterwards the assistant was crying

They pumped me with so much that after they got it out, I asked for the rest (other tooth and filling) to wait till later.

I hadn't even realised they had done the rest because I couldn't even sense anything in my mouth. JUST the pain on that one nerve.

I had an implant at the back to replace the tooth I lost that was next to the wisdom tooth that also was taken out.
Done about 10 years ago. Although expensive it's one of the best things I ever had done. Keeps everything else in balance and prevents top rear teeth coming out

About 5 years ago I was fine except every time I went to the dentist/hygienist I had a back molar that would flare up after they had poked around so they would give me antibiotics and it would settle down. They told me this wasn't good and I should get it sorted as I didn't want to loose 'the tooth'.

It would be, from memory 2K-3K to drill through my jaw to sort it and wasn't covered by the Insurance I have. Upon further questioning, it turned out this 'tooth' we were trying to 'save' was a root canal filling with a post and a crown on top ! I had it taken out so now have one less tooth than I started with, whatever that number is

Had a filling on a front tooth replaced today, 15 mins. She said do you want it numbed and I said 'no what's the worst that can happen?'

I actually frighten myself at how hard I am these days

I believe/hope most of it will be paid for by the German healthcare. I get the financials through this week and then I discuss it with the insurers. I understand they’re good with this as once it’s done…those teeth won’t need much/any further attention.

My upper jaw is very thin and won’t take an implant; they will have to do a “sinus lift” and construct some extra jaw bone. I’m pondering this as it seems quite brutal.
