......and how many just come on here to peddle their political beliefs?

We had our old friend Bubba on here for a while. Can anyone think of any others?

Here we go another "not a real fan unless you go regulary" thread. I dont want to turn this thread into one like Hb&B is so fond of but It really annoys me that people who cannot/choose not to regulary attend are vilified. In a free society nobody need feel obliged to give a reason for theier non-attendance.
Incidentitally I am season ticket holder.

OK rant over ...deep breaths and relax.....

no you missed the point in the question

I was getting at how many people do you know who use this forum as an oppertunity to air their views as opposed to comment on the football (which I thought wa sthe point in a football forum)

Hope you're not seriously suggesting NSC is a mere football forum Dave? ???

Doubt many of us would be here if it was just that.

I know exactly the point you're making Dave - guess it adds to the "flavour" of this place - try not to get involved with them frankly as they just seem out to make their point with no ability to understand someone elses understanding of the same point...

I only have come to know 2 or 3 to be fair - most of the rest of us are here as we all have a football team in common (or are fans of other clubs) and the social banter goes along with that commonality...

Surely hasn't missed the point though- if you don't go regularly AND make a comment about the football, you are shot down for making comments without the necessary back up of watching the game.
I like having a read and a mooch on here, but don't go (for reasons I'll keep to myself *coughtooexpensivecough* [no, I'm not going to Gills game, as I'll be watching from The Jam]).
I do however comment on music threads, as it is a subject I feel comfortable about, and can hold my own.
Could probably go to another forum, but I am an Albion fan of 36 years, I don't have a favourite 'proper team', my kids are bought up with only one team in mind, and I like the fact we (on here) have The Albion in common, but have diverse views about other matters, it makes for a rich pageant- and other fans from other teams come and stay on here too (not just to abuse), surely this is something which we should be proud.

Rarely get the chance to go to the Albion now Dave. Living in Hackney, 3 hours from Withdean.

With 3 kids 4 years and under.

But as other posters who know will testify, I used to do nearly all the games home and away, friendlies, the Tuesday aways etc.

Without being at the game its hard to coment on it, without mixing in with the crowd, its hard for me to have an insight, but to me NSC is a lifeline. Its a lifeline to football, it was great this summer as we bounced info on Sussex CC, its great on England, the views of Uncle B etc. But also it is a great community of opinions and bloody informative. We have had good discussions, I am wiser for it and I hope other punters benefit from my views. Even if not in agreement.

LC, Brighton, Sussex and proud of it.

Maybe if you were not frequenting the drinking establishments of (east preston) as much as you do;then you may have a little spare change to watch the Albion!:D

Am I to assume that you were making a non-judgmental query just for your infomation/debate? If that's the case then maybe my cynism caused me to miss your point.

Anyway in answer to your original question, one person...Looney

It was a purely innocent question...in that every now and again the board is full of people with hardly any post count and all they tend to respons to is overtly political or that sort of post.

Buba/blue peter was the example I remembered

I post on a Terry Goodkind forum and its is almost 100% full of threads relating to the books.

You know what Dave.. I believe you. You seem to post some sensible stuff. I just get irrationally wound up by the "you cant have an opinion unles you go to 50 games a season" crew that i was a bit blind to your actual point.

Now I am perfectly serene I can give your comment some proper consideration. Sometimes I personally dont mind some of the O/T stuff (Music, TV etc) but I simply dont get the need for some people to completely live thier lives on this board. "I have just had a really bad shit, first thing I must do is tell a few hundred people I dont know!!" was an actual thread tonight!!

Not been to a game in two years, but I'm more of a fan than any of you lot could ever dream to be. I'm also a far right fundamentalist Christian, and you should be too.
