Best Dome concerts for me were, David Bowie, Supertramp supported by Chris De Burgh, Genesis with Peter Gabriel and also amongst many others, Mud.

Steve Hackett at The Dome was good as was Hank Marvin at the same Venue. From the OP the 1 that I would have loved to see live are Tangerine Dream.

forgot the Steve hackett one.

BTW You know at the end of that concert some arse jumped on to the stage and nicked his plectrums.......well in an interview a while ago, he said that was one of the reasons he had not returned since:angry:

Tangerine dream were very funny - at one point they did this song about the countryside and were making farm animal noises .

Dire Straits in their very early days, Wishbone Ash and Manfred Mann's Earthband and suprisingly Elton John's acoustic set with a famous drummer, who's name escapes me, are my standout concerts at the Dome.

I saw Black Grape at the Brighton Centre - does that count? Massively grand band, much underrated, tighter than the Mondays, sharper lyrics, the Second Coming of Shaun Ryder. If memory serves, Bez was missing for some reason and Kermit was bright yellow through just having discharged from hospital followingh a near-death experience with hepatitis.

Close call with the above, but best gig bar none I ever saw in Brighton was Leftfield at the Event. Astyoundingly good, and louder than WAR

Bez had had a bit of a falling out and had left by then.
