Damn right-those back to back titles and a playoff final win mean f*** all.

Both those back to back titles were achieved by Mickey Adams , who chose to move on to a club better resourced by their Chairman.Peter Taylor left because the budget offered to him by Dick Knight was unrealistic to sustain a season in the Championship.
The play-off team was partly managed by Steve Coppell, who left to go to a club , better resourced by their Chairman, and Mcghee, who finally failed, who was seriously under-resourced by the Chairman.

I knew when it was time to say cheerio to McGhee, and I would know when or if DW needed to take a walk.
Contrary to some on here, but now is the best time to get on board with The Albion and support Dean Wilkins' blue and white army.

Dean's our man, and some of you need to pull yourselves together.

That's right - those things were achieved by MA / PT / SC, Managers far above the calibre that our position or resources deserved but they came here because of DK.
You say that DK seriously under resourced MMcG but there was hardly a long queue of billionaires fighting to invest was there? DK has done the very best that he could do in the circumstances.

Its quite simple really results bring in the crowds....good players bring in the crowds....a decent ground brings in the crowds...a decent manager brings in the crowds.

We have none of these and until we get falmer we will have no chance of having a decent manager or team. Therefore the games will be boring and the quality of the players will be poor. This is why i gave up my season ticket this year. Watching the albion at the moment is depressing!

All we can hope for is the club stays in business and the team stay up this year. I respect any fan who can pay the high prices for tickets and watch shite games.

And if the club doesn't stay in business because people like you won't support the club through difficult times have only yourselves to blame

Earlier today I found myself agreeing with a Palace fan on here...now I'm agreeing with Algie.

'tis a dark day indeed.

Its not a case of supporting your club. I've supported my club buying a season ticket year after year. Only to be shit on by Dick Knight when cup games came up and i couldn't get tickets. The club didn't care then!

Now things have changed but its too little too late for me. I love the club but i won't pay £450 a year to watch something i'm not enjoying.

Lets be honest there isn't many managers that would keep there job with wilkins record???

The problem is if they get rid of him...

A) What does Wilkins do then? Do a hinch and fade back in to the background?

B) Wilkins leaves the club? would be a shame.

C) Who else would want to manage us? Not exactly a good place to come at the moment. No money to spend and a very average team to work with.

Is anyone actuqally suggesting Wilkins should go....in your heart of hearts, surely not.

Its about time we stopped all this chopping and changing and actually stuck with a manager and gave him time to vblend a tem to his way.....

Even though Wilkins has shown no sign of any ability to manage a league club, shall we stick with him thru to League 2 or maybe into the Conference ?
I don't know many League 2 or Conference clubs that would be able to finance a brand new 22000 seater stadium and make it break even with attendances.

Quite agree, all he needs is an experienced assistant manager to work alongside him to help him in my opinion.
