Just seen them on Sky and now fairly certain that Neither of Barnes/CMS "goals" would have gone in without CMS's flicks. The 4th/ header didn't have enough power on it and CMS backflicked it in pass the GK. The 3rd goal was going wide without the deflection/kick out by CMS which sent Gonzalez the wrong way and in the net..

I voted 3.

CMS' first should have been given to Barnes, I couldn't believe it when they gave it to CMS although I was pleased as he deserves the luck. Being in the South I was too far away from the other goal and I couldn't really tell from the replay.

I hope someone passed that boy the match ball. Four goals, stunning. Hopefully CMS can start getting some proper goals soon instead of stealing them from his team mates.

Being in the South stand you would not have been able to see that Barnes shot was scuffed onto CMS shins and turned in. Barnes scuff was going wide.

Didn't look like it was going wide from where I was sitting, though the keeper had gone the right way. If it had been a defender it wouldn't be an OG. It was hard to tell even on the replay if there was any intent from CMS. But like Mellotron said Barnes straight away was giving him the credit. CMS second he definitely flicked it away from the keeper.

Barnes absolutely smashed the fifth goal, probably so CMS couldn't get in the way :lolol:

Having watched the Robbin Van Pricey goal and the absolute wonderment of the finish by Gary arse Lickener and co , i honestly think Barnsey's finish today was if not better on a par , so well done that man , i hope that makes up for the lack of Barnes back page headlines he wont get .

Definitely only two, CMS got final touch on both of them. Absolutely certain.

Absolutely no way the header was going in, he just helped it across the box, it was 100% CMS. The first one was difficult to tell from WSU whether it was on target before it hit CMS, but Barnes didn't seem too upset not to be given it, so 2 for me. Amazing from where we were 6 months ago with him being endlessly slagged off and commenting in the press that he can hear the negativity, to a standing ovation and the whole ground singing his name as he went off. Absolutely key player for us now.

I feel that it was 4. CMS couldn't have not scored the first one if he tried, it just hit him. If that had been a defender would the goal have been given to Barnes? Yes.
Also, from the angle I was at, it didn't look as if CMS touched the ball at all for the last one, but he must have done to celebrate it.

So the correct answer is 2. CMS may not have known much about his first, but the keeper was going the right way for Barnes's shot, and the deflection took it away from the keeper. As for CMS's second, Barnes's shot wasn't even on target, so CMS added a quality finish.

Had Vicente and Buckley been fit it would have looked more like a cricket score score. Barnes scored 4

Were we supposed to answer seriously? Cause I answered 4 with a little light-heartedness. While both his shots were on target, I don't think either had the pace or power to go in, and as little as he knew about the first, CMS should be credited with them both.

Barnes had a good game, that is what he gets paid to do...What's wrong with people he scored two goals, one he couldn't miss and the other pure striking class. The two that CMS scored were CMS's goals, they were both going wide without CMS's touch end of story. So two goals, man does job he gets paid for shocker!!!!

It wasn't going across the box, it was going towards the goal. And, despite what many bizarrely seem to think, it wasn't a shot, it was a header.

Huh? Are you suggesting shots and headers are mutually exclusive? If you head the ball you can't be shooting?

He dived to head the ball towards the goal, he caught it ith the side of his head and it screwed off across the goal (though I agree, still on target). But it was a shot.

he only needs to score 4,003,345,345 more and he will equal the number of times he has given the ball away easily - still shit - get rid in January
