Three, first Amex hat-trick...one of them hit CMS and he knew nothing about it, but although the other MAY have been going in, CMS did apply a tidy backheel!

On live viewing from the North, CMS at least appeared to be in the general vicinity for that one. For CMS' first 'goal' most of us didn't even think he was in the frame and assumed the statto in charge had pressed the wrong button

it wasn't as small a touch as some think though. It was more like he stuck his heel out because maybe he was trying to let the ball go through his legs.

was given to cms because barnes probably, gentleman as he is, wanted to give the credit to cms, who has been on a goal drought also.

Totally agree. Same for the second. He must have been gutted to have been,arguably, denied one of the two CMS 'goals', and then to be subbed before he could legitimately get to keep the match ball. But he was good as gold throughout.

Today was the loudest I've heard aye aye Ashley Barnes be sung, he was loving it!

I noticed that. and thought that was a fantasic from Barnes.

But goals scored - Two

First which was lucky, and the 5th which was a f***ing superb finish. The other two the CMS got, looked like they were both going wide, the first one definately was, and so was the header.

And before anyone accuses me of Barnes bashing, even discounting the first goal was fortune, and his assits were shots going wide, I would have been hard pressed to pick between Noone and Barnes for MOM today. Thought Barnes had a great game.

Barnes scored 4 today, but I'm happy for CMS to claim two for his own confidence and get him off the mark. Barnes was more advanced a lot of the time today woth Crofts wider and it worked well against awful opposition.

I'd give him 4 goals today. no doubt about 2 of them, CMS was trying to get out the way of his shot when it clipped his heels and went in. CMS did not know anything about it. Couldn't see if Barnes's header got a flick off CMS or not. So I'd say 3 definitely and possibly 4, but they'll probably credit the 2 deflections to CMS to boost his confidence.
Good show by Barnes though. Hope he goes on from here.

There's no way it was 4, CMS had more than a glancing touch to one of them. Waiting for the replay, and wouldn't be surprised to see he'd have only got 2 if CMS hadn't finished them off.
