I can't stand the culture of people parking their cars over the path and on the grass banks outside their homes. I find myself having to walk in the road because the path is blocked.
Have you tried walking through their flower beds I usually smile at them looking through the window whilst Im doing this.

No problems here.
Our small cluster of houses have ample space for owners to park their vehicles.

My neighbour has one car and business car. Her son has one car. Her current bloke has one plus at least five he has on sale and pretends to sell privately, rather than a dealer. He spreads them round our private estate now, so he pisses off all the residents equally.

Don't have much of a problem parking our Fiat 500 in the driveway!

We live in a a road with no pavements and limited parking. Couple just up the road have a weekend second home and 2 cars each. Their driveway is only big enough for 1 medium car, so he cant get his 4x4 on it.

So they leave their drive empty all week and leave 1 car on the road to reserve a a spot in one of the few available spaces, then when they return they do a tactical tag team to swap the cars round and stick the small one on the drive.

They are doing nothing illegal, just not very neighbourly.

Next door one side is a single bloke with three cars, two on the driveway and one on the road.
The other side, who we refer to as "Arsehole and Waynetta" have four, three on the driveway (two of which are rusted heaps) and one in THIER space outside (woe betide anyone who parks in their space)

In our Close everyone has a garage, yet no one ever puts their cars in them. They are either too lazy or they’re full up with junk. I don’t have a car.

In Malta, we have 443,193 registered vehicles for a total population of 550000!!***
The law is that for every apartment block approved, there must be one garage per apartment.
If this is not met, the developer has to pay a sanction (which is surely passed onto the apartment purchaser so parking spaces are harder and harder to find.) Very few houses have a driveway.
We are seriously considering not having a car and using cabs or E Bikes.

*** Putting that in perspective UK has a population of 68.3 million
and 41.2 million vehicles registered.

80% of pop has a vehicle in Malta V 60% in the UK.

I live at the end of a cul de sac of a road built 25 years ago. Most houses have a driveway that can accommodate 2 cars, but they also built in street parking bays that can take 4 cars.

The bloke next door binned off half of his front lawn to get another car space in. I did the same thing 2 years ago when my son passed his test.

As more people work from home, kids stay well into their 20s and cars are expense to buy and run then I can see people sharing a car more.

Definitely have a fair few 3 or 4 car families, but as it is mostly teens/20 somethings who can't afford to move out, I have some sympathy.

We used to live in a cul-de-sac where it was getting bloody ridiculous though, this house opposite had SEVEN, 3 of which were pretty flash and never, ever driven.

Didn't stop the bloke spending most of his time washing them over and over again.

My neighbour has just bought his daughter a 2 year old BMW 3 series to have as a runaround because it was too expensive to insure her on his Range Rover. Some people have too much cash.

Bit different to squeezing the Mrs into the back of my Dad's 2 door Corsa in the car park near Hollingbury golf course for a cheeky hand job back in the day.
Is she the main driver of the BMW ?
Is she over 25 with NCD?
Or is he insuring the BMW as his with any driver?

On one side we have a couple who have a total of 4 cars. I've no idea why as they could quite easily cope with just two and one of them the man barely uses and appears to have just for show. Without any apparent sense of self awareness he often comments how parking has become a problem in our road. He has a drive which accommodates two of the vehicles.

On the other side we have a family comprising of two parents and two daughters, all of whom drive. They have a total of 6 vehicles between them, two of which also appear to be superfluous Their drive also accommodates just two of their vehicles.

So between our two sets of neighbours they have a total of TEN f*****g cars between them, four of which appear to be totally unnecessary.

Do your neighbours' car ownership practices piss you off?....
Almost everyone pisses me off.
At work recently the head (HoD) announced a colleague had become a dad.
Cue 15 members of staff all replying to everyone 'congratulations John'.
('Look at me saying congratulations!')
I was surprised that when I commented to my HoD that our colleagues are largely wankers, she suggested it was too soon in the term for that.
I just tutted.

Yeh right, and do 90% of their journeys on the readily available 24/7 low cost public transport. Simples.
I'm 68 and I've never owned a car in my life. Amazingly, I've managed to be gainfully employed all my life, brought up two kids and led an active social life. So, yes, it is "simples".

The road I live in is pretty packed with cars and sometimes people need to park in the next street. But we don't have car, the house on our left doesn't have a car, the house next to that has one and the house next to that is currently being converted into two houses. One car at the moment but if those five houses had an average of three cars each, where would they do on a road that's already pretty full?

Isn't Malta smaller than the Isle of Wight?
Why the f**k does everyone need a car?!
