Oh absolutely. In the big scheme it's still just a minor inconvenience, but I'm middle aged, and sometimes like moaning! All considerations before you purchase a property obviously

That’s a pet hate of mine especially when the customer is calling every ten minutes how long will be. You do the job fairly quickly and then they moan they have to pay a full hour for 10 minutes work which incidentally they had agreed to prior. TwatsIt’s what most of them do now. You are always charged a minimum of 1 hour. 55 Mins travel time. 5 Minute job.
I live in a block of 26 flats, we have 5 parking spaces between us so it's sometimes tricky to get a space.
One neighbour has 3 cars, and he's the only driver in his household. He has one car parked in the carpark, one on the road outside and another around the corner.
When he wants to use the one in the carpark he'll swap it with a other one so he doesn't lose "his spot".
Thankfully we are moving next week and I'll have my own private space so I won't have to deal with this weapon anymore.
Same here. No obvious way of knowing if any/many households have multiple cars but the average would definitely below 1.Victorian terraces where I live in Brighton so no driveways.
Parking used to be a major problem but since they introduced resident parking it’s sorted that.
Not many multiple car owners in our street, it may just be a sign of town living.
It was a tongue in cheek reply really. They are all ,with one exception, parked on my property or in the case of one of them and the motorcycles are in my garage. I thought I'd answer the post with something approaching the same "venom" as the OP.If you’re parking them all on the public highway you don’t own, and if it’s causing a problem…then you make it so. Sorry, but that’s the reality.
That's lovely and very civil. Neighbourly in other words, mine are the same. See, it can be done. It;s just when you get arseholes who only ever see the world according to their needs and 'rights' (but never responsibilities!)We've got 2 cars and a van plus my motorbike but that's got it's own cosy shed. Next door have 2 cars, next to that bloke has 3 vans and his Mrs doesn't drive. One work, one camper and one feck knows. Luckily they have a decent drive so they don't block the road
Next to that is a family of 4 with 2 early 20 kids. Each has a car so that's 4. The dad is a mate and told his kids not to park outside our house so they park up the road which is really nice of them. I've told them a few times how I appreciate it. I like my van outside my house because of the tools and the Mrs works late and has shopping etc so likes to be outside.
I'm currently doing a bathroom in the laines! Only got one parking ticket in 2 weeks, I feel blessedQuite lucky in my close as everyone has decent size drives, but I notice many roads locally where I work seem to have plenty of parked cars during the day, many more than 10-15 years back.
I do see a fair few houses that have a caravan or camping van on their driveway but their cars parked outside neighbours houses.
What I find odd is when I see a house with sometimes 2 cars on a driveway that probably haven’t been driven for several years and should really be scrapped, these homeowners usually have a few roadworthy vehicles parked in the street.
Where?I'm currently doing a bathroom in the laines! Only got one parking ticket in 2 weeks, I feel blessed
You have had a shocker there mate Whichever area you are talking about it would take a gun to my head to work in central Brighton, someone asked me if I would do a job in Sussex Height recentlyI'm currently doing a bathroom in the laines! Only got one parking ticket in 2 weeks, I feel blessed
Our place is about 20 years old and has underground parking but apparently it's owned by a local company and not the building owners which is bizarre. It seems unusual that a single driver should have 3 cars in the household but fortunately most local authorities now recognise that planners need to include better on curtilage parking facilities for new builds so all local transport plans impose mimimim provisions (which may vary according to location/public transport provision).
The Norfolk County Council plan requires one parking space per residential unit, plus cycle and mobility scooter, 2-3 bed dwellings two spaces, 4 bed or more 3 spaces and houses in multi-occupancy 0.5 spaces.
