Agreed. Although The Doors are overated IMO. Not helped by that shite film with Val Kilmer. 5 or 6 great tracks though. Using The End at the end of Apocalypse Now is one of the great music cinematic moments. When the Music's Over is a great song, and love it or loathe it, Light My Fire is a deceent pop tune. However be careful getting into dodgy lyric battles TLO. 35 years ago today Jim Morrison died. Vastly over-rated group in my opinion - a fairly standard west-coast blues group with a decent organ player who managed to inspire a handful of decent songs. As for Morrison's 'poetry' - f***ing stroll on, per-lease.
Definitely a triumph of marketing over content.
