You went to Shoreham College too?? Ha ha, yeah I remember the old 'get off my cricket pitch line'

Yep, 1983-88. You?

Denis also lived about a 5 minute walk from our house, and was friends with my parents.

yeah only up until the age of 14 (1987-94), left when it went into financial meltdown and they scrapped 6th form.
Is he still alive and well do you know?

Yes, the amount of people without the psychic ability to look into the future and see what players would be playing for the Albion is astonishing isn't it!

I thought peeope on here were given the way they write off players before they kick a ball and say we have been relegated and going to the conference etc...

Didn't realise that thread this started January last year  but there were 3 post before mine that could have mentioned him so.... Can't believe no-one has mentioned New Zealander and current squad member Chris Wood

Blimey, I must have been strutting around thinking I was all important when you first started then. Yeah, I think so, he gets brought out onto the pitch every so often at Withdean, whenever they introduce players down the years to the crowd. He always seems to be one of them.

I didn't stay for the 6th form there myself, as the numbers were just so low in the 6th form, even in my day.

Edna, now your being pedantic...is not Russia in the USSR....SORRY....

Surely that should be "WAS not Russia in the USSR". It was, but so was Belarus, which is where he is from.

There was a tendency in the West to describe anyone from the USSR as "Russian" but it was and is incorrect. Worse even than calling a Scot, English.

Since moving over here, I know lots of people from former Soviet States, incuding Russia itself, Belarus, Ukraine, Moldova, Kazakhstan, Estonia, Lithuania and Georgia. Only the Russians would ever describe themselves as Russian along with some people of the other states but of Russian descent.
