Add No.3760 to the list. Have done 2 London's, wasn't going to do another marathon but was tempted by it being the first Brighton.

I'm running to. Done my longest run of 20 miles at Worhting last Sunday in 2.42 so looking forward to somewhere near 3.45 for the full.

Indeed I am! Another marathon virgin here!

Absolute novice, most I've managed to run in training is 17.35 miles at which point I started getting pains in my right knee. I'm looking at between 4.30 and 5 hours.

With less than two weeks til the off, the nerves are really starting to kick in.

I'm in as well.

It's also my first (and probably my last).

Did 17miles last week and wanted to hit 20 this weekend before tapering, but have been a bit under the weather. No time limit for me - my sole intention is to cross the line in one piece. Agree about the nerves!

Im in, did my 20 last weekend but hobbled out at 11 of 17 this morning so will need the magic sponge in the next few days.

I am. But my knees start hurting after a mile and the most I've done in training is 5 miles. That said, played a lot of football in the past and was a long-distance runner at school so still hopeful to make it to the finish line in a decent time.

and me !

Be glad when it's over cos it's taken over my life - my food, my drink, my conversation, my shopping, my leisure time, my reading and even my surfing (thank you Runners World and Map My Run). I even run thru the course when trying to go to sleep.

You could defer to next year

Yes indeed!! I'll be there pounding the streets of Brighton on the 18th (and the streets of London a week later). Yes, I'm doing the double. Are there any more of you out there in marathon land?

PS. This is my first post - yippee!!!!!

So how are the intrepid 22 doing?
Any advance on 22?
Or has anyone moved from a definite to maybe or worse...

Dorking 10 cross country run for me on Sunday, then pasta, pasta & more pasta!

Just bought myself a gel belt to ensure I go round with a bit of fuel available. I went for 13 miles on Sunday, then ran gently on Tuesday, some intervals on Wednesday but then my niggly groin strain resurfaced. I've decided to run a maximum of one more time before next Sunday, and that will be about 6 to 8 miles on Sunday or Monday.

That AND the tights? So you're basically doing it in fancy dress?
