Started in 78. Season ticket as a 14 year old in 79. Missed three or four seasons when we had kids in the early 90s. Had a season ticket at Withdean bar the first couple of years (started bringing my son). Fewer away days now than I used to. Computer says 758. What a glorious, pointless, memorable, delerious waste of time. I can remeber very specific things about games from 1984 and can't recall some whole seasons. Seagulls!!

Not sure on the exact number of home games. Know I’ve missed just 4 since the AMEX opened. Withdean games attended around 150. Goldstone just once. Though I’m sad enough to know I’ve been to exactly 83 away games. So a total of around 412.

No idea. First game late 70's went lots late 80's and 90's, ST at GIllingham and Withdean, took nearly 10 years out from 2005 due to family and car racing . . . just go when I can these days.

seen more than enough TBH but still come back for more.

:lolol:

It must be the way the brain is wired for us oldies.

I used to write accounts of "classic away days" in The Albion Mag when it was going, the joke being that as they were in the 1990s and we were mostly shit away they were never actually classic. The reason is I can remember them better than most of our first season in the Premier League

First game was in 1955, so god knows how many, I have been privileged to have attended every promotion winning game the Albion have had. The first in 1957-58 season

50 years next year. Most home games aside from 3 years at Uni, 5 years in London and 2nd year at Gillingham when roughly half. Perhaps 250 aways.

Conservative estimate, 1200.

About 200 as never had a season ticket. Probably 140 away, 45 or so at Amex, 14 maybe at Withers and the single one at Gillingham (I know bad fan but I was just a teen).

Roughly:
35 per season, from 82/83 - 88/89 as a ball-boy, then a program seller
15 per season, from 89/90 - 91/92 as Uni allowed
10 per season, from 92/93 - 99/00 working and living too far from Brighton (and even further from Gillingham)
30 per season, from 00/01 - 19/20 as STH from start of Withdean era, through to now

So about 900, ignoring friendlies, reserve games, etc

Started going with school mates in the mid 90's, went quite a bit during the Withdean year but only a handful of times at the Amex as I've been living abroad and the trips home never seem to coincide with matches.

I reckon.... 30-40 matches maybe? Pretty poor considering I would consider myself an avid fan and my first match was some 27 years ago.

My long term memory is awful, so I know that I came to the Goldstone a fair few times as a nipper, but I barely watched the games. I was down the front of the North Stand kicking Coke cans around the terraces being a bit scared when we scored as loads of blokes that could've easily trampled me surged forward. I just about remember Steve Foster (in my child's eye he was about 10 foot tall and could head the ball over half a mile), so;

Estimates - it's notable that I was practically a bad omen for the club, seeing all the bad bits and none of the good bits between 1994-2008.

Goldstone
1992-93 - 5 games - No no, no no no no, no no no no, no no no no Nogan!
1993-94 - 5 games
1994-95 - 10 games
1995-96 - 10 games
1996-97 - 10 games
1997-98 - 1 game at Priestfield. We got horrendously lost, turned up just before halftime to the massive blue gates being shut. They let us in at half time, we were already 2-0 down (I think) and lost 3-0. Dad was in fuming, and muttered "never again" under his breath.

Withdean
1998-2006 - Didn't go to any games in this era, my older brother went off to uni and I got much more into playing music on weekends with mates. So I completely missed Zamora first time round, the double promotion, all of that stuff.
2006-07 - 7 matches - Started going a few times again with my brother in the Dean Wilkins era.
2007-08 - 12 matches - Micky Adams returns. Never go back? Bollocks! This is going to be great...
2008-09 - 20 matches - ...and it all falls apart under Micky and the 1,000 loans, but then Slade and The Great Escape starring Gary Hart and Lloyd Owusu. Properly back into it at this point, going to a few away games also. Really enjoyed the last third of this season, every game was exciting.
2009-10 - 30 matches - The start of Poyet. Going to most home games and a few aways.
2010-11 - 38 matches - "We're ****ing brilliant." We really were. I think some forget how exciting we were in that season also, as we see Gus as a bit of a "safe", possession-based manager who is happy to shut up shop at 2-0. We scored 4+ goals in 8 different matches that season. Different gravy. Became a season ticket holder halfway through this season, ready for the Amex (disgusting JCL, eh?)

Amex
2011-12 - 42 matches - didn't miss many, and made a couple of aways.
2012-13 - 42 matches - That Palace playoff game, and the ceiling being hit. Bye Gus, thanks for the memories. Smashing Blackpool 6-1 in the spring sunshine was a highlight.
2013-14 - 38 matches - Garcia had to handle the Amex's "difficult second album", and he did a pretty good job with a team in a strange state of flux, when you look back at the squad at his disposal. Never looked like going up this season but solid enough and did well to make playoffs.
2014-15 - 38 matches - Oh dear Sami Hyypia. Lovely bloke it seems. Maybe a bit too lovely for the job. Hughton steadied the ship.
2015-16 - 40 matches - A 22-game unbeaten run from the start of the season. Fine margins at the end of it. 3 into 2 doesn't go - Boro, Burnley and Us. The Complete And Utter Shyster. Then glorious, brutal failure in the playoffs. This season was a tough one to take, really felt like we deserved promotion.
2016-17 - 42 matches - Took the previous season as motivation, started this one with an 18-game unbeaten run. So many great comebacks and late away winners - Birmingham, Fulham, QPR. Glory.

Prem years
2017-18 - 30 matches - Probably would've been more but for the birth of my son. Securing safety by beating Man Utd at home.
2018-19 - 28 matches - Just glad I was there for the 3-1 at home against Palace in the rain. Great game. Thanks for everything Chris Hughton. Club legend.
2019-20 - 11 matches

So...459 games. Don't regret any of them. Even the shit ones. All forms part of the whole. I've been bloody spoilt for drama, even with missing the Zamora/Adams Mk1 years.
