How excited are Poyet and Taricco tonight?

When the mastermind duo first took over here, they inherited an underachieving and, in many cases, undertalented players. Since then, they've changed the philosophy of the club, signed their own players and walked a division we were becoming also-rans in. They've transformed the club off the pitch and if you look at the squad we have available tomorrow, it's amazing the difference they've made in such a short space of time. How excited is Gus tonight, throwing around ideas for his team selection tomorrow... The ability in this squad now would have been unthinkable when they took over.

Whoever they choose tomorrow, it will probably be the best Brighton and Hove Albion team I've ever been to see play. The first game I saw starred Mark Ormerod, Peter Smith and Craig Maskell. We've come a long way.

Just a quiet moment of reflection.

It is quite incredible as to what Gus, Tano and Charlie have achieved in such a short space of time. I felt very sorry for Rustle when he was sacked, but it was definitely the right decision. He wasn't the man to shepherd us into a new era. Less said about Micky the better.

It's also worth noting that a lot on here were quite against calls to give Oatway a post whence his career came to an abrupt end. Seems to be a shrewd move by Bloom to have a link from the past, a battler and a go between.

Incidentally (without wishing to derail the thread) - what ws Charlie rowing about and who with during the Newcatle game? There was a period of five minutes or so with a lot of words thrown about.

Good post . A proper championship team and bench . Genuine championship match winners in there and some class at the back .
You are not within a shout of the play offs come February unless you have something about you .

Loving it and for me eclipses last season which was absolutely incredible .

We've come a long way baby

I just think it is great to get promoted and actually be on a level playing field to compete for a change.

Last three times we were in Championship it was such a struggle

Do your remember two (three?) seasons ago when we actually used 43 players in a single season? That is nearly four separate full teams in rotation.

I just think it is great to get promoted and actually be on a level playing field to compete for a change.

Last three times we were in Championship it was such a struggle

how excited are poyet and taricco over picking a team to face leicester? I don't mean to be a downer, but I doubt they're any more excited than usual.

I know, from fighting relegation in league one to looking how we could fight for play-offs to the premier league. Also got to think about the players he improved... el-abd? i thought he was poor until poyet came.
