Shot, snared or chased out are fine. I agree their numbers have to be kept down.

What is not acceptable is people having fun chasing and killing animals of any kind.

not very acceptable for mr fox to get snared on my property and lay there trapped, in agony for as many days as it takes for me to check my traps. he might not like getting chased, but a quick bullet in the head and instant death is surely a preferable way to die than being caught in a trap with half a leg attached for a good four or five days.
