please get rid of this thread this is pathetic and slightly tasteless

Some people are posting tasteless stuff but the majority are posting sensitive, heartfelt comments. Obviously not the idiots debating HGV traffic laws.

agreed, surely it should be about the tradegy that has taken place, and the fact six pepole lost their lives, rather than deciding whether of not the driver was polish which i cant see has any relevence

So i'm an idiot am I, f*** off ! yes it's a tragic tragic thing to happen to anyone but don't start calling me an idiot  Couldn't really care if the driver was polish, british or a bloody alien from outer space. All I was doing was stating facts and putting a certain poster in his place, So please don't start getting holier than thou with me
thank you

good reply

To be fair to you it wasn't your response I was referring (spel?) to, more Algies idiocy, it is easy to forget exactly who said what on a thread this long- so apologies, I admit it was not fair to lump everyone in and a bit holier than thou considering my posting history.

I look forward to you starting a new thread, explaining the difference between spreadover, layover and legover.

Are we talking about my DVD collection again?

I was very sorry to see that one of the victims was the thoroughly nice doctor in A & E who first dealt with my hand when it went wrong after last year's operation.

I smell a little bullshit
If your driving a vehicle fitted with a tacho, then my friend you're breaking the law as you can only drive for a maximum of 56 hours per week, and a maximum of 90 hours in any two consecutive weeks, and as a driver can only work a sixth day every two weeks you must be driving bent somewhere along the way to do the amount of hours you are quoting . If you are driving a van without a tacho then driving all these hours is just bloody irresponsible.
By the way I know these laws, as I have just past my cpc exams which, if you are in the "trade", you will know, allows me to hold an O licsense

Think you should keep your mouth shut on things you don't know.Alot of multi drop driving is between 10-12 hours pers day which you don't need a tacho for.

And sadly Spencer, that person is YOU. It was you who marched into a sensitive thread to tell us it was probably a foreigner driving the lorry, and insinuating that it was his fault.. Because if you weren't doing that, then you needn't have mentioned it at that point.

Secondly, it sounds like it was the fault of the driver of the recovery vehicle, not the Polish driver.

Thirdly, old stick, you're making yourself look like a hypocrit when it transpires you spend 60 hours a week driving on the motorways AND have been done for drink driving in the past. Not that it's relevant but I wonder whether this Polish lorry has got a track record like yours?

Another idiot guessing facts.I've never been done for drink driving and my liecence is clean.Just for you as i know you perhaps you would like to see my liecnce and hours worked in a week.
Again the facts will come about about the cause of the crash which was stated by a newspaper that a witness saw the driver doing about 30mph veering across lanes as if he was falling alsleap. You really shouldn't follow the sheep

So that means you are a multi-drop driver, yes? Which means you would be working in one or two small or town sized areas, yes? Which means you don't really know much about commercial motorway travel, yes? Thanks, see ya.

FFS, is this still going on. The fact is that Algie could be right in what he says, no one knows, and know one will know until the police inquest comes out. Yes, it was the wrong time and place to post such a comment, but if every muppet on here hadn't argued about it for four days then it would've just faded away quietly.
