At last a rational discussion to get involved in.

I totally agree.

How COULD it work? I'd be intrigued to know from a practitioner...

can't remember who said it but if homeopathy works then Bin Laden's burial at sea means that all the world's water is EVIL

I think deluded might be more accurate than idiots. The people that try to sell the stuff to people who don't know any better are those you should be attacking.

Can't believe this stuff gets NHS funding

I'm certainly not a believer, however my fiancée is and she swears by it.

Its exceptionally arrogant to simply dismiss it as bullshit,

I had a cold for a few days at the start of last week, Wednesday night I watched a couple of episodes of "The Pacific", Thursday morning the cold had cleared up.

Therefore "The Pacific" should be available through the NHS.

I have both read up on it and seen the same methods as homoeopathy used in an experiment in uni. There is no way this thing can work.

Placebo effect is all it's good for.

you've 'read up' on it?

course you have, Daily Mail?

No in books and on the internet and in scientific journals. I've read some of the research papers on the subject. To be totally honest theres no evidence for it, and no explanation of how it can possibly work. Sure some people feel it works for them but it's just a placebo effect.
