That's basically what was posted here. Once Dougie had left I thought Holloway was a good appointment, so I appreciate we're talking with the benefit of hindsight here, but that doesn't change the fact that Palace were winning and in the best form of the division (they went top after Holloway's first game in charge, despite losing their first 3 games of the season). No one really knows what went on, I personally think they would have offered him a 3 year contract on better money at least. Because whatever you think of them they do know business and it would be totally stupid not to. I think possibly the money available to him at Bolton was a lot better than he could have got with us so he jumped ship, but once again none of us will never really know and Freedman has not said a word while CPFC2010 have constantly said they have while others have refuted it, legal action threatened etc etc zzzzzzzzzz. I was not happy with the appointment of Holloway as our only weakness at the time was defense and he is all attack and lets face he cannot even get that right at the moment.
Seaside does, he knows everything.
I think relatively highly of CPFC2010. Of course it's hilarious that they argue with fans online, but that aside they are doing comparatively well with the finances, they got an amazing deal for Zaha etc. But if if they didn't completely believe in Dougie, and they thought they could do better with someone like Holloway if they took the money from Bolton, then that doesn't mean they don't know business. Not having Dougie on a longer contract earlier would've been a business decision (in case he wasn't successful, and they needed to get rid) and it seems to have backfired.
That's probably true, but given how well you were doing you must wish CPFC had pushed the budget more than they'd have liked in order give yourselves a good chance of the massive pot of gold ahead.
Indeed. He's probably lost a lot of the dressing room, they all know how well they were doing under Dougie, and the changes have made the team worse.

I wish Freedman would have stayed, not to mention those he took with him.
To honest I am not actually that phased by it all, we have gone back to the position of being disappointed so nothing new there. Luckily I have other things to worry about, I care about Football but I dont live and breathe it. As my dad always used to say "Palace always **** it up", but I doubt even he would have predicted this lol

He seems to sign some average players at other clubs but not sure he'll be given the reigns in that regard, and his man management and tactics seem abysmal

I think you will find me usually pleasant but I give as good as I get and like the odd banter/wind up/laugh, I am not abusive though unless abuse is coming my way

Nobody really knows whether Palace would have carried on winning if Freedman had stayed, or whether exactly the same thing would have happened.
At the end of the day, most football observers would conclude that Palace have punched considerably above their weight when you look at the squad they have. Despite what they like to tell us, their squad is weak. Zaha has only played well for half a season, if that, Bolasie is now back to where he was at Bristol City- flattering to deceive. Their defence is terrible. The midfield has only Jedinak of note (so they tell us).
In some ways, it would be quite funny if Palace did get promoted, as they would be quite comfortably one of the worst teams ever to reach the PL. In a perverse way, I'd love to see them get smashed every week.

Yet according to everything else I've read and heard, including the radio commentators, the game was absolutely dire and Palace were total kak! Amazing.
