Hinsh, is he that good?

Along with Butters, was our best defender yesterday.

QUALITY player - can head, tackle and pass (his long balls have got so much better, I recall when they were absolutely DIRE). Much better prospect than Lynch (although I suppose might be more injury prone) I think.

He was at fault for the goal against Northampton, and again yesterday. That's 5 points he has cost us this season.

But yesterday was our first defeat since he's been back.

And I think it's harsh to blame him for the goal. From the angle he was coming from he would have cleared it comfortably but Lynch came in from the left when he shouldn't which meant the ball went straight to Greenacre.

Let's not forget he is still learning his trade, and he is a youngster in a young and very inexperienced team. I do agree that he made mistakes which directly contributed to these two goals, but he will learn from them.

I agree that he is our best defender but he still has a lot to learn.

Lynch has been off form recently but I believe every youngster will go through bad patches. It is how they cope with it that will show if Lynch as as good as a lot of us believe he is.

Hinsh is the best defender at the club.

Agree.

It was however his mistake yesterday - yes Lynch had a poor game - very poor - but Hinch was at fault for the goal.

Lynch started the game badly, and never seemed to recover.

I cannot see how anybody can say that it was Hinsh's fault yesterday unless they know who called for it. From the Tv I would have thought that Hinsh was in the best position to attack the ball and head it away but was baulked by Lynch. I don't know if Hinsh called for it, but if he didnt then Yes he is at fault but who knows definitely.
