I'd just like to thank Jake for forcing me to to look up the ageing donkey's wikipedia entry and learning that his full name is Emile William Ivanhoe Heskey.

He wouldn't come here to be 4th choice so not going to happen. COG it's been stated is not Ulloa's replacement but the back-up for his replacement and CMS. Heskey would not be that replacement  :moo: ??? :(

all that grammer nonsence is for sub-editors, the real job of a sportrs journo is to come up with something to fill n inches of column space. theres a dozen pages everyday in a half dozen tabloids up for grabs. on this form he'll do OK, its got a link to and some interest right?

And that spelling nonsense too ...

Beyond the grammatical and spelling errors, the kid doesn't have a bright future. You might as well just cut and paste some footballing words and phrases. Grantee, you'd still be more eloquent than most pundits, but not writers.

No - journalists also need to understand how to use the language they are attempting to communicate in. Knowing how to use a spell-checker (or a sub editor) will not turn an illiterate into a proper journo.

About the author; "Jake studies currently English."

I think he needs to study a bit harder,

To be fair he's from Bradford. They still point at aeroplanes in that dreadful yard.
